Going to Longhorn to us is like a little taste of Texas Steak. Flo’s filet is the favorite for the whole family. Our sides are all different but the main. Course is that yummy Flo’s Filet. Sides might include mashed potato, french onion soup, roasted corn, brussle sprouts or asparagus. This location is always consistent with food quality, temperature and flavor. It is one our favorite restaurants in town. All servers we have had there are friendly.

Now, don’t get me wrong, this place isn’t going to be scoring Michelin stars anytime soon. But the food they put out it’s very tasty and very reasonably priced. A 4 oz lobster tail 6 oz filet mignon with two delicious sides for $35 is not to be sniffed at. The server we had tonight wasn’t particularly dynamic but kept my soda topped up. Well done.

Had a family dinner at Longhorns in Destin on a Sunday night. Host said it would be about a 30 minute wait, it was less than 10 minutes once our table was ready. The food portion were perfect and everything was cooked as quested. The longpour mango margarita was very yummy! We got the longhorn stampede and let me just say WOW! Was not expecting it to be so much but it was so good! We have been back a few time since. Looking forward to visiting more!

This was our last dinner out while on vacation and out of all of the restaraunts we had been to in the area this was our favorite. We caught the time just right and didn’t have to wait for a table. Food was fresh and plentiful even the kids meals. Our server was nice and attentive! Definitely worth it! When we go back we will definitely eat here again.

We decided to eat here after leaving Outback which you can look at my review on that. Was seated right away and our drink and appetizer was ordered within 5 minutes. Our server Will was outstanding and we appreciated him. Placed our food order and it came out as soon as we were finishing appetizer. Will checked back with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed and to ask if our meal was OK. It was delicious! It was somewhat busy but we never felt that we waited for anything. Ladies restroom was clean, the only con I can think of is maybe after someone leaves, check the seats a little better to be cleaned. A few crumbs and some crayons left over from previous diners. Thanks for the recommendation on a steak Will, it was spot on and my husband wished he had ordered what I did.

The only complaint I have with this establishment is the short hostess with the short red hair who definitely needs some training on how to greet and navigate with efficient communication skills. She obviously hates her job and it shows.. the food was good and there was no wait time. We went for lunch on a Tuesday.. four of us spent around 100 not including tip.

I’m always fascinated by Corp or direct mgmt of an establishment that lets it become a disappointing experience for customers. Longhorn in Destin is that place. Went in for a meal and to catch the ball game 2 hours before closing. You would have thought we were trespassing! No up front host. We found an employee rolling silverware who reluctantly said to sit whereever you like. We chose the bar area and once seated, waited and waited. The person (bartender) finally came by and stated she didn’t even know we were there! Anyway, it just went on with very poor service, subpar food and employees wandering around us with cleaning supplies in hand. Once the meal was complete, I had to take my check to the bar to pay as they were too busy counting cash to bother processing my card. The place was empty and I’m not surprised. I won’t be frequenting Destin Longhorn restaurant anytime soon. Hopefully the folks responsible for the establishment get a clue and work on the delivery of an enjoyable dining experience.

Server had to comp my steak that was supposed to be medium well but came out like a hockey puck. He forgot our appetizers, forgot our salads and we had to ask for drink refills. The front staff was friendly and they got us sat quickly but servers were not good. Menu is limited with little options and the steak my daughters had were greasy and tasted like chuck roast, not even sirloin quality. I don’t recommend this place considering there are many local steak food options that are of much better quality in the area. I’ve ate at other longhorns because I am originally from Oklahoma and had great experiences there, but that was not the case here.

Still my favorite franchise steakhouse. However the last few times we visited. The cooks still have a problem getting the steaks cooked properly. I’m not sure if they cooks do it by appearance or by internal steak temp. But they have a hard time distinguishing between med. rare, med and med well. Especially if multiple parties at one table order different cooks. It’s almost like playing steak lottery. And lastly sometimes they serve bad cuts especially in the sirloin realm. If you are going to order the sirloin you got a better chance of getting a better cut of meet with the smaller size. At least that’s been my experience.
