Reviews
I’ve been to other locations but this is the only one that I thought deserved my time and 5⭐ review.
I spent $65 on a takeout order that included one order of the Parmesan lamb chops with a sweet potato and broccoli and the second order was Grilled lamb chops with a sweet potato and salad. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was completely unacceptable. The lamb chops were cold and noticeably pink inside to the point that I had to go home and finish cooking them myself. The sweet potato was burnt and did not include the butter or cinnamon that normally accompanies it and the broccoli tasted as if it had barely been cooked at all.
I attempted to resolve this matter the same day by calling the restaurant. I was placed on hold and the employee eventually returned to say that the staff was too busy for a manager to come to the phone. I called three more times today after the restaurant opened and was again left on hold each time.
After getting off work I went to the location in person and explained the situation while also showing pictures of the food. The manager’s response was extremely disappointing. I was told that there was not much he could do for two orders due to their policy and that he could only replace one of them. He also repeatedly mentioned how busy the restaurant had been all weekend which frankly does not excuse the poor quality of the food or the lack of proper customer service.
As a long time loyal customer who has supported this business since it opened I expected much better both in the quality of the food and in how this issue would be handled. Being busy is not a justification for serving substandard food or dismissing a legitimate concern from a customer who has consistently supported your establishment.
I would appreciate this matter being addressed appropriately and would like a resolution that reflects the value of the order and the inconvenience caused that night.
The level of customer care and hospitality was nonexistent. From the beginning, the waitress and overall staff were rude and inattentive. Our order was incorrect, we received almost no service, and we weren’t even brought water. Nothing was delivered correctly or in a timely manner.
The most upsetting moment was when my son asked for fries with his steak but was instead served fruit. When I politely pointed out the mistake, the waitress became visibly upset, grabbed the fruit directly off his plate with her hands, and reacted rudely. That is completely unacceptable. When an order is wrong, the proper response is to replace the item or the entire plate, not to handle food in that manner or show frustration toward customers.
This experience was shocking and far below the standards I’ve come to expect from LongHorn. Sadly, it turned what should have been a pleasant family meal into a very negative experience.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent dining experience at your Leburnum Avenue Richmond, VA location on 3 Jan 2025. Unfortunately, this was the second time I have encountered similar issues, which raises concerns about consistency and service standards.
I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye cooked medium well, but it was served well done and was extremely tough—so much so that it could not be cut with the provided steak knife. When I brought this to the server’s attention, the manager did not return to the table. Instead, the server came back and placed a regular ribeye in front of me without explanation or acknowledgment of the error. When I attempted to comment, she walked away.
Despite receiving a different cut of steak, I was still charged for the Outlaw Ribeye. By the time my replacement meal arrived, my entire party had already finished eating, which diminished the overall dining experience. I then had to request a to-go container and a bag, rather than this being offered proactively.
Additionally, the server failed to provide:
The extra cinnamon butter requested for my sweet potato.
My rewards discount number. My military discount, which I specifically asked for.
Given that this is the second occurrence, I am left with the impression that this may be a routine practice rather than an isolated incident. As a result, it will be some time before I consider returning to LongHorn Steakhouse.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve service quality, communication, and guest care. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this concern and information on how this matter will be addressed.
Sincerely,
Venis Adams
