Longhorn was good. Their service was caring and professional. Pictured: Lobster chowder soup, Wild West shrimp and 7 pepper sirloin salad.

Came here with prime rib on my mind, only to be disappointed with it not on the menu, all steakhouses should have it. Also they don’t offer hard cider, only beer. Our meal was good and our server was attentive. Clean restrooms, plenty of parking and easy accessibility.

Adam was a fantastic server. He was very fast, friendly, and maintained consistent communication. This Longhorn location is great! Food was good too. One of our steaks did come well done instead of medium but it wasn’t a big deal. We will definitely come back here.

I received a gift card for Longhorn and visited the Chantilly location this past Monday at 4:30 PM to avoid the potential of a dinner crowd. I asked to be seated at the bar. As I studied the menu, a couple of folks came to the bar to pick up carryout orders, and a couple of guys took seats just to drink. I ordered a glass of La Crema Pinot Noir and French onion soup to start. I encountered indifferent service from the young lady serving me. She spent most of the time in the adjacent kitchen near the bar, chatting with colleagues and occasionally glancing at the bar.

The soup was dominated by cheese, having very little onion and not much broth, which was salty. I ate some of it. I then ordered a porterhouse steak, medium rare, a plain baked potato with butter, and a mixed greens salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The salad arrived in a flash. It was ice cold, obviously made in advance and stored in a refrigerator. The only greens in the salad were chopped leaf lettuce, which included pulp. Other ingredients were diced cucumbers, diced tomatoes, grated yellow cheese that I think was supposed to be cheddar, and croutons. The cheese was totally flavorless, as were the diced tomatoes and cucumbers. The croutons were good, fresh, and crunchy, and the balsamic vinaigrette, along with some freshly ground black pepper, made the salad bearable. The tragedy for the salad was the extreme cold temperature. Cold temperatures kill flavor.

I thought the soup was salty, but it was nothing compared to the baked potato. It had two globs of caked salt on either side of the peel. I scraped off the salt, but it had permeated the peel. I ate part of the interior, and butter with fresh ground pepper helped. I asked for bread and received a small loaf of what appeared to be whole wheat, which was also void of flavor. It was served on a small bread board with a condiment container of butter but no butter knife. The tableware place setting did not include a butter knife, so I used the steak knife rather than ask the indifferent server for one.

The porterhouse presented fairly well on the plate visually, having a chestnut color with dark crosshatched grill marks. I think LongHorn corporate puts a great deal of effort into this visual imagery for brand identity. The true test is taste. I am certain the meat was USDA Choice, not Prime, and thinly cut, 1/2 inch thick after cooking. Choice grade has less marbling, and being thinly cut does not retain as much moisture during cooking. The LongHorn porterhouse was not rich and juicy. A thicker cut would yield a better flavor result. I was impressed that the kitchen achieved medium rare, as I asked, taking a great deal of skill to do on such a thin cut. There was 1/8 inch of sear on both sides and 1/4 inch of pink interior. My thickness report is accurate; I only ate a small portion at the bar and brought home the bulk of the steak, where I measured it.

The atmosphere is casual, and the furnishings are dated, but the restaurant is meticulously clean, including the men’s restroom. Parking is ample.

We had an amazing experience at LongHorn Steakhouse thanks to Manager Chris! We came in with a large party, and he went above and beyond to accommodate all of us. Managing a big group is never easy, but Chris handled everything with professionalism, patience, and such a positive attitude.

He made sure we were seated comfortably, checked in frequently to ensure everything was perfect, and truly made us feel welcomed and valued. The service was smooth, organized, and our food came out great despite the size of our party.

Thank you, Chris, for making our celebration so special and stress-free. Exceptional customer service like yours does not go unnoticed. We will definitely be back!

Longhorns has become my go-to family steakhouse. I usually get the sirloin med rare as I prefer leaner cuts and it’s always perfectly seasoned. Their complimentary bread is fantastic, and their sides are always fresh and delicious as well. Prices are phenomenal and service is standard to good depending on how busy the restaurant is.

I had lunch here on Thursday with friends and both the food and service were excellent. I had the cheeseburger medium rare with the house salad. The burger was cooked perfectly and the salad was really good with cheese, cucumber and tomatoes. The ranch dressing was good enough to take home with the leftover salad 🙂
Our waitress was SENYA and she was lovely and very accommodating. We had the strawberry shortcake and it was REALLY good, light and not too sweet. Can’t wait to go back and try other things and get the shortcake again.
This is a large restaurant with lots of room for privacy, it you want it.

Food was great! Can’t go wrong with ordering Steaks. Love their Steaks, perfect seasonings and cooked perfectly.

But the service needs improvements big time. The front staff just guided to our seat and left. No “Enjoy your meal” or anything even after we said “Thank you” after she seated us. Then the wait staff was kinda irritated that we were there it seems. We had to wait awhile for our check. We actually had to look for her after awhile.

She passed by us few times during the meal and she didn’t even ask if everything was good.

Bathroom was clean.

Longhorn is one of those places I’ve always had good experiences except for one mediocre one in Maryland. Tonight food was excellent, inside was very clean, love the decor as I am a Texan and Longhorn grad (well MBA), and service was very good. Great location, spoke to Manager briefly on the way in, could tell he was on top of things. Told the one older server and cute hostess on my way out that they should really add some steak sauces. Forget the BS of having your own sauce, get some standard ones from Sysco and give him some options for maybe a small upcharge. Really impressed with the quality of their filets for the price. As someone who has done a lot of food deals and ran a food plant for one of the top CPGs, I am usually pretty critical on steak quality. But for their prices I have made respect, and they do a really consistent job in cooking them. Great job guys. An old boss was SVP for Fish procurement at Darden, they do a great job!
