Longfellow’s Pub

  4.3 – 320 reviews  $$ • Restaurant

Welcome to Longfellow’s Pub, a Cape Cod fixture since 1980. The new proprietors have now reopened, after a full-scale renovation. The new menu features appetizers, seafood, sandwiches and salads. And, for that steakhouse experience, Longfellow’s now offers prime rib 7 days a week, not to mention rib-eye, T-bone and filet mignon all served with a garlic herb compound butter and a choice of sauce including béarnaise and creamy horseradish. All steaks are choice Angus beef. The Daily Dinners include Meatloaf on Monday, Baked Stuffed Haddock on Tuesday, Chicken Parmigiana on Wednesday, Roast Turkey on Thursday, Whole Lobster on Friday, Baby Back Ribs on Saturday, and for Sunday dinner try the Baked Seafood Casserole.

Circa-1980 pub with paneled walls & an intimate bar, serving prime rib & other casual American fare.

We visited in May 2023 before high season. We sat at the bar, where we were greeted by a fun bartender who was very attentive to our rowdy group. I had the swordfish tips which were delicious & my favorite. My husband had the Braised Prime Rib Stacker which was HUGE & very tasty. We also sampled the BBQ Ribs which were fall off the bone yummy and the shrimp cocktail were juicy and the cocktail sauce was on point. Dan & Mindi have done a fantastic job with the remodel & re-opening of this classic neighborhood restaurant/bar. Highly recommend if your on Cape check them out.

Nice clean neighborhood pub-type place with great food at reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive service by Deb. Plenty of parking. A little off the beaten path in a tiny strip mall but that makes this place a hidden gem and definitely worth a try!

Didn’t anticipate what was here. So longfellows was delightful. The tavern was very small and comfortable. Drinks were offered. Food was simple. There are 10 rooms for travelers. The ground are amazing with a grist mill working. Cant wait to visit again.

Mindy and the team are always great and really make sure everything is spot on. Im not sure if I should say this (because I’m hoping they never run out, lol) but the prime rib is the best I ever had! Keep up the awesome job, thank you for always providing a great “home cooked” meal!

We’ve been wanting to try Longfellow’s for a while. Had heard great reviews about the prime rib and read not to judge a book by its cover. While it is in a small strip mall next to an abandoned variety store don’t let that stop you. We went there last year but unknown to us it was closed. Apparently there are new owners and it was being refurbished. While I can’t compare it to the previous place I found almost everything about Longfellow’s excellent. The decor and layout is very nice. One side is a nice horseshoe bar with a few high tops. We didn’t have a reservation (Wednesday night 6:00 pm), but we were offered one of the high tops and were seated immediately. The bar has Keno, several tv’s and is decorated in a lot of Red Sox memorabilia. The bar appeared to be mostly local regulars, as everyone was chatting with everyone else. The restaurant side is nicely decorated in a Cape Cod and Nautical motif. There were mostly couples in our age bracket

Very nice experience at this renovated Cape Cod staple. The interior is much brighter and the food definitely improved. We had the chicken parm special,a portion so big 1/2 was taken home. It was served with a red sauce over egg noodles, diner was very happy with it. Also enjoyed a very large end-cut of prime rib served with 2 sides, again diner took half home A large wedge salad accompanied by a side of marinated steak tips was delicious. There was a massive amount of Bleu cheese dressing on the very generous portion of salad. Also enjoyed chicken vegetable soup,(bowl only), and the scallop/bacon app. Service was very efficient, we never waited, drinks refreshed immediately and we were checked on multiple times. Thanks Paloma!
