What a hidden gem in LongBeach! We came in about 30 minutes before closing and were greeted with the warmest smiles and genuine hospitality. Even that close to closing time, the service was attentive, welcoming, and never rushed.
The food exceeded expectations — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The French toast is an absolute must-try: fluffy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. It’s easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Everything we ordered hit the spot, and it felt like the perfect comfort meal to end the day.
The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food make this place a standout. We’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend if you’re in the area!

This restaurant looks like a little hole in the wall but it was great food. We set ourself and the waitress came over to get our order. She was nice but seemed to hatr her job if that makes sense. The atmosphere was terrible. It needs a major rehab and just updated. The food though, you can’t get much better honestly. We would definitely eat here again. Good home cooked meals.

Outstanding breakfast on Longboat Key! Ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and the Biscuits Benedict.. the portions are huge! And they taste as good as they look .. fresh homemade biscuits topped with super tasty gravy.. add crispy home fries and poached eggs and you get a very tasty twist on regular eggs Benedict. What a great meal!

We come to Long Beach Cafe about once a month, so by now it feels like our spot. We know the staff, they know us, and the service is always warm and welcoming. The food is consistently good, comforting, and generous. It’s one of those places that just feels easy and familiar every time. We truly enjoy coming back!

You know how on vacation you sometimes just pull up google search and find the closest breakfast place cuz youre hungry…well we stumbled onto a little breakfast gem that way. Such pleasant staff and clean restaurant and excellent food!!! Gave us such a great start to our day! I highly highly recommend!!! Yummy!!

I am very disappointed with my visit here. I ordered 2 eggs with corn beef and hash with a large coffee to go. Their online menu says the dish should be 10.95. I get there and they tell me it cost 18.25 and that the online menu is incorrect and outdated. I did end up paying for it and unfortunately the corn beef hash is not good. I will not return to this place.

Staff… Not so much. Unfortunately quite cranky!! And though not rude to me, I watched one be very unnecessarily rude to another man asking for milk…
From locals I was told the staff issue is not uncommon.
Highly recommend a refresh.
With that said, I’d love to return for the food when I return to the area.

We became regulars here about a year ago when we moved to the island, can’t say enough good things about Sonya and the food. She is amazing and the food is always delicious. BUT last Wednesday we came here and brought someone for the first time and was turned away. It was only 1:30 but the elderly lady said they were closed because she was decorating for Christmas. At first we thought she was kidding, but she literally kicked us out at 1:30. We almost never came back but we love to support local businesses and love Sonya and the food so we did. The elderly lady needs to find another job, she is running off your customers.

Tucked into a mall by Whitney beach, this is your diner for indoor seating or outdoor seating. Bring your dog and bring your kids bring your grandma. Daily specials. My plate was a BLT and my husband had the chili cheeseburger. Very filling. The servers were right on top of us from the time we sat down to when we left. Plenty of tea and attention —enjoyed reading the local newspaper while we waited for the grill guy to assemble our sandwiches. Busy—Many people came and went for takeout orders. It was too hot for us to sit outside, but there were several people who decided to take their dogs and sit out on the lovely patio.
