Long Nine is back and just as good as ever if not better! Came in for lunch today, ordered at the counter and had our food quickly despite the business of the restaurant. I had the beefy sammich and my fiancé got the daily special which was a cubano. Both were great, served piping hot, and on fresh, excellent bread. The cubano was probably the better of the two but we enjoyed both! I know we will be back and telling others to come down and enjoy. Happy to have such a great restaurant back in downtown Springfield.

You ever have a sandwich so good you just have to sit with it for a minute? My recent trip to Long Nine Junction left me fully in awe. It was full on “don’t talk to me for a second so I can process how good this is” awe.
I’ve been in Springfield for five-ish years, and I had heard a bit about LNJ being delicious and a go-to spot in the past, but I didn’t get to experience it until this week. Prices are super reasonable, servings are gigantic, and the ingredients are high quality.
The location is a bit small, and it can get packed easily (rightly so), so I’d be sure to have back-up plans for where you want to eat in case you can’t find a spot inside. With the weather getting nicer, this is a great opportunity to truly make a mess of yourself in public as you hork a humugous sandwich down on a park bench, on a blanket in the park, or in your car (no judgement).

The food here is phenomenal. Stand-outs include their Beefy Sammich. Be sure to add the au jus (sauce). Beef is so tender and flavorful. The Long 9 Salad has a bright citrusy flavor. Their fresh bread is also amazing. Staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

First time here- noisy and crowded small lunch restaurant with friendly staff. The food was absolutely, exceptionally delicious and reasonably priced- easy to see why this place is so popular! We had the old capitol chicken bowl and the Thai pork bowl and a cookie. So delicious.

I’m obsessed with the Thai pork bowl on rice. It is a huge serving, so you can definitely share or have leftovers. Staff is so nice, the decor is super cute, and it’s a lovely piece of downtown history!

The owner yelled at my mom for sitting down before ordering.
My sister dropped my mom off because there was no close parking. I understand they have limited seating and it was busy at lunchtime, but we were there for my mom’s birthday, she’s disabled and walks with a cane. We were paying for her meal, so she couldn’t just go ahead and order, nor could she stand in the line to order.

We wanted to try something new and so glad we did! Perfect little yummy place! The staff was very friendly! It is a small location and not a lot of seating but it worked for us. The food was delicious! We had grilled cheese, downtown club, pork belly, Mac n cheese and mashies(mashed potatoes). Very good!!! We will be back!
