I stopped by Long John Silver’s and grabbed the 2-piece fish meal with fries, hush puppies, and a drink for around $10. Overall, it was a solid experience with a few highs and a couple of misses.
One of the pieces of fish was excellent—fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked. It had that crispy golden batter that LJS is known for, and the flavor was spot-on. The second piece, though, wasn’t quite as good. It seemed like it had been sitting under the heat lamp a bit too long and came out a little dry. Not terrible, just not as fresh as the first one.
The fries were a nice surprise. Easily one of the best batches I’ve had from this location—crispy, hot, and well-seasoned. Sometimes fries can be hit-or-miss here, but this time they nailed it.
The hush puppies were what you’d expect—crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, with that signature cornmeal flavor. They always add a nice little extra touch to the meal.
The price was fair for what I got. I considered upgrading to the 3-piece fish meal since it was only about a dollar more, but I wasn’t that hungry at the time. Still, it’s good to know it’s a solid value if I’m ever extra hungry.
All in all, I enjoy their fish and I’ll definitely be back. Just hoping both pieces are fresh next time!

Went for fish shrimp and chicken. The food was good, the wedge potatoes were really greasy. And the frying oil needs to be changed.

Very nice and Clean, fast service, fresh and hot, made when u order it. Haven’t had in years and now that I know it’s 45 min away in Dekalb, I will be there often. The staff was awesome and very friendly. Made u feel somewhat valued for coming to dine in… I had the Fish & Shrimp with Cole slaw and hush puppies . Sooo sooo Good!!! Yall better go get u some!!! Lobby closed at four p m no help, also, At shift change manager in charge told us to angle park, while 7, almost 8 other vehicles went around us. Apparently forgotten and just left to set on the hottest day of the year. Special olympian on board. Who’d just gotten gold? Dining experience turn to crap! New shift manager attempted to make it right by taking $11 off the total bill.And providing us with a temporary tasty cake.Just wish they’d been better at communicating within the store

I visited KFC, it was greasy, rubbery, and undercooked! Gross! There was so much grease the box fell apart. This was my second time getting really bad food from them, I’ll never go there again.
