We went to the Long John Silver’s today for lunch. I haven’t been to LJS in probably 20 years, I used to go with my grandma though and have fond memories of their food. Today I got my fiancee to try their food and I can tell you, it’s just as good as I remember it being all those years ago.
They weren’t very busy and immediately took our order and were very friendly and helpful.
I got the shrimp combo and my fiancee got the fish combo. Total including drinks was $20, great price for lots of food. Everything came out quickly and was hot and fresh. The hush puppies are so good here, they’re light and crispy, not dense. The coleslaw is actually pretty good, a bit on the sweeter side but still solid. My shrimp were tasty and decently-sized and the wait staff made sure I had cocktail sauce for them. My fiancée’s fish was so crispy, hot, and delicious and we got tartar sauce for that. I love the little crispy batter pieces too. This stuff is fried to perfection and isn’t greasy. I tried the Colonel’s lemonade and it actually tastes real, not like fake flavoring.
We sat in a booth seat with the sun shining in on the seats, it was warm and cozy, and also clean. I rang the bell as I exited.
More people should try LJS. It’s not health food, but it is some tasty seafood. We will be back!

First time at Long John’s in a few years but always loved their fish, fries and hushpuppies. Decided to go to drive to Pickerington just to go to this particular store. Everything was absolutely perfectly cooked. The fish was freshly made, the hushpuppies and fries were hot. The service at the window was super efficient and I received everything I asked for. Thank you for an excellent lunch. Definitely will be making the trip again.

Absolutely love Long John Silver’s fish and KFC’s pot pie. I placed an online order for three people and it was ready within 10 minutes. The only problem? KFC’s menu items are entirely and obscenely too expensive. Absolutely ridiculous that I spent $47 on fast food for three people and they were all combo meals. I love their food, but this is why I only visit maybe twice a year. For $47 I could feed my family for 3-4 days, AT LEAST

ETA – thank you for the response from the owner. I wasn’t bothered that the dining was closed I was merely mentioning it for others, that it may be closed but the drive-thru was open.

Was disappointed they were out of fish, the cashier provided great customer service. She had grandma energy which made the burden of no fish more easy to bare. So I settle for KFC potpie instead.
