The lights werent on outside. So forst I had to figure if they were open. Then when I went through the drive-through I ordered a platter with extra items. The chicken was rubber, fish was cold, hush puppies were hard and stale. This has to be the worst meal I have ever had. Im sad to see all their locations close up. But if this is what they are serving I totally get it. Its absolutely horrible food. The young lady at the window was as sweet as can be. But the food was the worst I’ve ever had.

I was extremely satisfied. My food came in a timely manner , the service was excellent and my food was fresh. The french fries are well salted and the in house made root beer is always delicious. The fish is also almost always fresh tasting and the hush puppies are very soft and cooked to perfection. The interior is very welcoming and the employees are very warm and friendly.

We ordered our food and was told to pull into a parking spot to wait. We waited 20 minutes for….cold not fresh food. What was the wait for? Upon realizing we didn’t get the Mac and cheese, we asked and was told “we’re out”. Why did she not inform us when we ordered or when the food was brought out. Chicken was cold. Fries were wrong size but charged extra. Our drinks were not given to us. It is a shame the level of incompetence. Missing items but our money was taken. This place needs to close.

Do NOT waste your time. Today is 02/07/26 at 3:50pm. The young man who is currently working there with unkempt braids or dreads should be fired! I cannot review the food because after a 40 minute wait we asked for a refund. The service is extremely slow. My husband went to ask for a refund while I was still sitting at the table. He politely said “excuse me”. I heard him from where I was sitting so I know this idiot heard him also. So, I walk up and say, “can you please take 2 minutes to give us a refund? We have been waiting over 30 minutes”. This jerk gives no apologies, says nothing. He goes to the register and told me to swipe my card. My husband asked for the receipt and he responds they don’t give receipts with refunds. I immediately checked my account and saw that he refunded $46.50, but we paid $48.70. I tell him you did not give us a full refund and he had the nerve to say that we got a drink! I said you can have it back and went to walk towards the garbage can. He then goes into the register and hands my husband $2. Keep in mind, he stills owes 20 cent. I just threw my hands up. This “man” has no accountability. He is rude and has no idea how to treat or retain customers. He most certainly does not know how to do good business. This is coming from a mid-level Customer Service Professional. Let me know if you need a new manager. I would run circles around him.

First time here in at least fifteen years. The fish was fantastic and the green beans were very good. My memories of the hush puppies were vague but I enjoyed them also. After having some bad tasting fish lately, I was pleasantly surprised.

One more time-DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR DAY, GASLIGHT YOU, AND GIVE YOU THE WRONG ORDER TO TOP OFF THE DISRESPECT THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE THERE! The server there was very rude and disrespectful. He gave another patron my food order and then started to berate me for him not doing his job and checking receipts to make sure people have the right food. I was very hurt and taken aback at how he talked to me and treated me. It was not warranted. I tried to talk with him about how he was being disrespectful, then he just ignored me and continued to be crude and disrespectful. I called my wife to let her know what was going on, then he decided to bathe in the conversation, talk more crap, and try to berate me again while I was on the phone with my wife. All of this could have been avoided if he just said, “My bad. Let me get your food order corrected.” But no, he wanted to embarrass me for some reason because he was having a bad day. I will never come to this establishment ever again, and I will tell others the same. I live in the area, and it’s a shame that they treat people in the community like this. They will never get my business again. This occurred yesterday 10/30/25 at 7p. And after all that, he still ended up giving me the wrong order after I waited patiently after being disrespected. Also, he locked the doors early, so nobody else could come in and order. So I had to wait 10 minutes outside before he came to open the door again. Don’t support this establishment. The service is trash. The servers are trash. It’s just trash.

Amiya’s customer service was excellent. She was polite, pleasant and professional. My food was made fresh, she recommended the pumpkin shake, it was so good! I asked to substitute my platter for some extra fish, and she accommodated me with no problem. The restaurant was clean, tables were clean, and I enjoyed my visit.

The service at this location is absolutely horrible! I placed an online order. My mom drove to pick up the order. When we pulled up to the drive-thru my mom informed the female employee that she was picking up an online order.
F.e.-You have to come in.
My Mom- Why do I have to come in?
F.e.- Because your order isn’t ready.
My Mom- Well, I can come back around if that’s okay.
F.e.- What’s the difference of you coming in?
My Mom- I’m disabled.
F.e. Are you really?!
My Mom- Who are you talking to little girl? Where’s your manager?
F.e. You can pull up, and get your order.
My Mom- Where’s the manager?
F.e.- Just pull up, and get your order.
My mom pulls up to the window with her PERMANENTLY DISABLED placard in hand, and the manager is standing at the window. My mom tries to start explaining the situation, and the manager would not let her get a word in. She tried to explain that people come through the drive-thru all of the time, and claim to be disabled. That’s why they have to tell people to come in. As my mom is trying to tell her that’s not the issue The issue is that the employee questioned if my mom is actually disabled. She just wasn’t trying to hear it. She kept asking what kind of sauces we wanted. We’re telling her we don’t care about the sauces. We want the employee and the store owners info. She informed us that the store owner/manager doesn’t give out any info. for people to file complaints. “All she is going to do is give the complaints back to me, so that I can deal with it.” She never offered an apology. She just kept being dismissive, and closing the window in my mom’s face. This experience was so unnecessary and unacceptable.

This place has gone downhill. The coney dog had chili so burnt it was almost black. Corn dog nuggets and cheeseburger were cold. Onion rings were fried so hard that even the onion on the inside of the breading was like rubber.

As a long time long John Silvers customer this particular time, I must say the food was horrible and looked preheated and not fresh (this is seafood ) And small and very burnt Shrimp, chicken and fish overcooked and burnt grease taste-fries so hard I couldn’t chew it. And I got it in the Mattson Illinois location driving from Chicago and paid almost $27 dollars for this food too be this disgusting very disappointing.
