The staff was great! We had just got into town and got food about an hr before they closed. However, I’m extremely dissatisfied with the food. We ordered grilled shrimp that was completely raw not even cooked and the combs we ordered were okay and looked fine but the fried fish we got seemed rushed and smelled as if it was sitting out for a long time very fishy smell. For what I paid it was not worth it. I would like my money back.

Wow, visiting Santa Fe I was soo excited to stumbled on LJS. Growing up on in Tucson brought back childhood memories. Going off the reviews, I was skeptical on what was in store but didnt care as this is a blast from the past.
Luis welcomed us and as I was scanning the menu, I wanted a lighter bite in which he suggested the $6 buck special. He was polite and attentive.
The only thing ai noticed is their fries are different from before.
I ordered a side of krums as Im weird and put them on top of my cole slaw. Try it.
Food came out fresh and not like its been sitting out.
Now if people are harping about grilled shrimp and its not cooked, go to Red Lobster or find another baja shack for your shrimp. What do you expect coming from a fast food joint.

Went in tonight and ordered 3 dinners and crabcakes… all of it was hard and overcooked. The fish was dry and hard, the chicken was like jerky, the fries hard, couldn’t even eat the shrimp. This used to be my favorite place when I was a kid. But these days, the food quality just keeps going down hill. This was definitely the worst ever and my last visit. Spent $50 for food that tasted like the end of the night leftovers reheated in oil. I’m done. Disputing charges tomorrow.

I usually love the food from here but lately the fries have been harder than a rock not fresh and super stale. How are you guys passing food inspections i should call up a health and food inspector because it seems like they have me fries that were two days old. Disgusting and disappointing.

Always a good choice the salmon is delicious and so is the super sampler platter and if you order online it’s fast easy and always done quickly so it’s nice. I eat here often and the owner is awesome

Had to hunt this place down. Unfortunately, like other businesses, LJS has suffered and quality has declined. Even their corn on the cob is now just corn in a bowl.
Food was okay, not great. Staff was semi-pleasant. Overall, not a great choice and I hate that. I used to enjoy LJS as an occasional option. Have to mark this one off the list now.
I do appreciate those working there but it appears the chain isn’t what she used to be.

I grew up eating at LJS back in the 70s and 80s. As a youngster I loved eating the crunchies that were at the bottom of the meals. While visiting Santa Fe on business I saw a Long John Silvers and had to have some since there are LJS in the area where I live. When ordering I told the cashier how much I loved the crunchies when I was younger. The team heard me and when I grabbed my to go order, I was excited and touched to have 2 boxes of crunchies. What a great Team and wonderful experience. How thoghtful.

Restaurant isn’t up to its standards, fountain drink tasted horrible, tea or coffee pot was very very dirty sitting there next to fountain drink, I remember going to eat over there and everything was always so clean, now it’s just horrible
