This location might have gotten revamped on the outside, but the inside (employees) REALLY needs work- the cashier on 08/02/25 @ 5:02pm named Angelica R. has absolutely zero customer service skills. We couldn’t see the menu through the drive thru, the screens were blacked out and barely visible. I should’ve went inside but didn’t. Angelica sounded bothered the moment she took my order. She didn’t give me my total, I had to ask for it at the window. She got attitude when I asked for it and I could barely hear her. She didn’t greet us nor say “thank you”, and immediately got back on her phone after handing me our order. One of the cheesecakes I got looked like it was tampered with (see pictures), I’ll be contacting corporate because ordering food worth $45 shouldnt have to be this way. This lady is making this location look like crap, honestly don’t see how she has a job. I’ll never come back here, unless the staff gets shaken up. Do better, Angelica! I have faith in you, maybe get a cleaning job so you don’t have to speak with customers. Or get a social media job since you like being on your phone. Do something you love to do, misery loves company and I’m good on that!

On Tuesday evening, January 27, during a snow storm, I decided to stop by LJS to buy dinner. After struggling in the ice and making my way to the kiosk to order (which is my preferred way of ordering due to me being nearly deaf), I noticed two employees, one male, one female, waving me down. I looked up to attempt to understand what they were saying and I noticed them mocking me with deaf gestures, as they were attempting to speak, but I didn’t hear them. As they caught my attention, I noticed one of them asked in a very condescending manner “are you deaf?” To which I replied, YES! These employees continued snickering at me. I felt humiliated. I quickly turned around, walked out the door and went to another nearby restaurant for dinner. This was the poorest excuse for customer service I had experienced in a long time, even by Oak Cliff standards. There’s no need to belittle and make fun of customers simply because they’re hard of hearing. I tried using the kiosk to avoid miscommunication and embarrassing situations, but the two jerks working the restaurant that evening decided to make me their evening’s entertainment, and I don’t appreciate the way I was treated one bit. Needless to say I won’t be returning to this location again.

Top notch crew make this OOC staple everything you want a fast food restaurant to be.
They built a whole new restaurant where the old store used to be on Westmoreland just South of Illinois Ave. Across from the DART Station and next to the Sierra Vista Shopping Center (Fiesta Supermarket), where the old Dreeser Industries Plant used to be.
If you have a great experience, ring the bell on the way out the door.

I had high expectations for this place as it was newly built. Im here for the second time and ask myself why did I give this place a second try. The gentleman that took my order did perfect, now the atmosphere is a complete disappointment. There’s a gentleman in a wheel chair shaving his head near the countertop and the staff does nothing about it. There was a pan handler in the restaurant and nothing was sone about it; I get it since this location is near the train stop but the owner needs to understand that there is paying customers that would love to enjoy their food!

Decided to give this longjohns location a shot since the location in Mesquite by town East Mall tasted great.
But, this Oak Cliff location fell very short.
You could tell the fish had been fried twice or something because it was a dark brown color. Did not taste good, and was hard. Fried fish is not supposed to be hard.
Hush puppies were super greasy and nasty.
Was very disappointed with our visit.
The only good thing was the cheesecake factory cheesecake slice.

Service was very friendly and fast! Food is great.Only thing I’ll say, a few randoms walk in to use their restroom (pretty sure due to 7eleven always having it closed) and sometimes get away with getting a drink from their self serve station.

A friend told me of the Fish Basket and I came to try it out . I asked the person behind the register what’s included. Another person, butted in and they rudely said “what it shows in the picture.” And they went on about how people always come by and ask if the deal is still going and he’s like “well, the poster is still up.” Talking about being “old school”. I don’t care about your story, or how many people asked you about it. What’s in it and is there a drink, that’s it. Customer service is bare minimum, i don’t know who trained them. The food looks okay, I don’t care to come back after that experience. Some people just want to eat food and have respectful interactions.

This location has horrible service. I always get the same meal every time I go, 2 piece fish and the 3 piece chicken with an extra piece of fish and EVERY SINGLE TIME, they forget my extra piece. I literally lose money when I come here. What’s the point of paying for an extra item if I don’t receive the extra item. And when brought up to the manager, the audacity to have an attitude as if I’m the one in the wrong. This location needs better management and training.

This is a recently opened restaurant. Their food is delicious and the staff works hard and is very nice. I’ve come here only once, but will definitely come back. Love their fish and chips. It gets very crowded, but is worth the wait. Definitely recommend.
