If this doesn’t speak to the cleanliness here, I don’t know what will. When we got here, we didn’t think it was open. Multiple people going in and out from back in the kitchen. One guy took a baby back there. Two people went back there, don’t know if they worked here. They had no uniform on. Unsanitary. Will not be coming back.

Reviewing mainly website and management. Website removes my accumulated “coins” when I add them to my order but am unable to use them due to another promotion. They’re just gone. I contacted them online multiple times….received only one reply…a non answer….refuses to further reply after multiple inquiries. It’s a crap shoot if they’re actually open during advertised hours…I’ve found drive thru unanswered and doors locked multiple times during business hours…mainly at 29th and
fairlawn store. If you actually receive your online order its hit or miss if you got your complete order…or if the food is edible. I’ve received deep fried fish absolutely covered both sides in black specks…and tasted burnt. It appeared to have been in very very burnt oil or had been on floor! This food is not at all economical and a little more care should be used! A ‘D-‘score….plus where are my coins!!

Does the health dept. even exist in this city? The place was a dive. From little gnats flying around to dirty walls, condiment counter was disgusting. Barely any malt vinigar in their dirty disgusting bottles, all of the tables looked like they haven’t been cleaned all week with chairs stacked in the booth, to un-mopped floors with trash, No, the chairs were not on the table because they were cleaning. They have been up there for some time. I used to patronize this restaurant business quite a lot, back when they were cleaning to keep presentation. Like they really wanted me to be there. Condiments bottles were cleaned and filled regularly, tables wiped down, and even the floors were mopped and kept clean. Now the prices are higher the portions are smaller, and the service……well let’s just say. Do they really want my business?

Went to the one in Topeka KS. Had to drive around the place to try to figure out if it was even open or if it was an abandoned location that had shut down. From the outside is was very run down looking with faded paint and dirty windows you couldn’t see in. Finally realized it was in fact open when we got around back and saw the back door hanging open. Thought twice but decided to give it a try because I drove a long way for the food because I had been craving it since the one in my town closed down. Parked in the empty lot and got to the door and saw what looked like someone had smeared something nasty all over the glass. Opened the door and looked inside at the dark dirty inside and just said forget it. It was sad because I really wanted to have some of thier fish and hushpuppies…but it wasn’t worth the risk of eating in such a scary looking store.

Staff was extremely friendly, food was prepared while I waited so it was hot and fresh, dining area clean and staff even made sure to come into dining area to make sure everything was good. Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time!

ALL The food we ordered (Fish, chicken, fries, salmon, hush puppies, burger) was HORRIBLY SALTY (A WHOLE LOT OF SODIUM) IN THE AMARILLO TEXAS BRANCH the service was great but the music was very loud you could barely hear them speaking. Couldn’t eat our food had to throw it away so there was no value for the food we ordered. It was a long line to order and not enough cashiers to take the orders but it was only the 2nd week of opening. It was very clean. Not enough tables for handicapped people. Not everyone likes sharing tables with strangers.

They was out of hush puppies
The waffle fries was old and like leather, couldn’t eat them and there was only like 5 waffle fries most was broken and small pieces in the box anyways, and 3 pieces of chicken plus one very small piece, but very tender and juicy.
We ordered corn instead of hush puppies and it was good.
We paid 48.56 for 6 pieces of Chicken, 9 pieces of waffle fries and 3 bowls corn. Rip off!, won’t be ording from here again, or and Long John Silvers. Profit over your customers won’t get return business.

I ordered the two-piece fish and three piece chicken meal with two sides of hush puppies. The Drink on the receipt shows an large Dr Pepper and yet the cup is Diet n it tastes disgusting! It was delivered via DD and so it was a store screw up! Do better at paying attention to accuracy of orders LJS employees!!!
