My husband was so excited to eat here. He ordered the sampler, while I got the chicken combo. The hushpuppies are and were on point. Golden brown, crispy and delicious. I ordered a side of green beans, which wasn’t included and had to go back in to get them. So glad I did, they were the best part of the meal. The batter of the fish, shrimp and chicken wasn’t crisp at all, however the pile of crumbs that they included were. Also got the cheese curds, which were average. Hopefully after a few more months quality will get better. Would go back just for the hushpuppies and green beans though.

My husband and I have been anticipating long john silvers to finally open. Last night we went through their drive thru and we got a sample box that was on a deal for about $6. The meal came with 2 hushpuppies, 1 piece of chicken 1 piece of fish and waffle fries.
The crisp on the hushpuppies was fantastic seriously amazing. I would go back for just the hush puppies. The fish was amazing no one makes fish this good here in Sedalia at all! The fries were fine honestly McDonald’s makes the best fries no one will ever beat them on fries. But let’s get to the problem.
We get this amazing meal. Then the chicken….. the chicken was definitely an after thought and not only was it a small piece but it wasn’t even tender. It was so chewy I had trouble eating it.
Will I go back. Absolutely 100% I feel in my heart and mind this was just one of those days. But my experience with our new long john silvers. It just made an amazing experience go sour a little ya know what I mean? If you see a piece of chicken next to a piece of fish and it’s 1/3 the size you’re going to ask why didn’t they just add another or toss this tiny piece of chicken?
I’ve included a picture of the fish and chicken. The hushpuppies were already gone.
I want to be a repeat customer so please let me get a better piece of chicken next time please.

Went and tried it tonight, I had an eyebrow raise for the new building, it looks more modern and I liked the colors. We got the family 12 piece meal with a drink and it was around $54. I think it was pricey but they threw in extra sides and a lot of hush puppies so that was a plus. The chicken was fire but I think the fish was dry but that could’ve been from the drive home too. For it being packed we got our food pretty fast. For the good customer service and extra food that was given I’d say try it to give it your own opinion.

I would ignore most reviews about wait times and potentially cold food for the time being. The restaurant is still new and operating at/or above max capacity with new employees. Give them some time.
Otherwise the portions are kinda small compared to the old one. I’m sure it’s not just this store, but the shrimp, chicken, and fish are all smaller than they were before. Still good though.

The food was good. It’s nice to have a long John’s in the area again. Service was super fast! The dining area was really small and super cramped
I felt claustrophobic the whole time. Next time I will order it to go.

We went through the drive through. 2 cars ahead of us. It took 28 minutes to order then get our food! When we finally got to the window the middle aged workers were goofing off dancing around and making jokes. I commented on how long we’ve been waiting. She apologized and said they were “busy”. Not true. They were not doing their jobs. And then when they finally gave us the food there was No Shrimp! $15 for fish chicken and shrimp and they couldn’t even get it right—and it took a half hour! Needless to say, we will NOT be going back. Management needs to do a better job.

After waiting a couple weeks after the new building was built my husband and I decided to give it a try. We went through the drive through 1 1/2 before closing on a Wednesday night. We both ordered 3 peice meals including two sides. The strips of chicken were all very small ( looked more like nuggets than strips). And we were missing our sides mine coleslaw and his hushpuppies. All of the food was also cold and tasted like it was cooked and under a light in hopes to keep “warm”. Maybe it was an off night but for the almost $30.00 we spent we could have eaten anywhere else and actually got food worth eating.

The only long John’s in miles. And they sure take advantage of it with their prices. 5 dollars more for some of their menu items compared to the kc area Long John’s. Double fries = one normal serving somewhere else. Drove 70 miles round trip to visit, just to feel taken to the cleaners on the long drive home. Cheaper to drive all the way to kc or Columbia.

$13 for a rice bowl with barely any rice at all! Ripoff! I could see the bottom of the container before I took a bite. Do better. Applebees shrimp bowl is the same price and you get way more rice and shrimp.

Tried the NEW restaurant amd let me tell you BOOO. Cold ff and I did say something to 2 different employees and they will let the cooks know. I am expected to pay for the cook to learn. 18 dollars for a “sampler” it was cold ff, 1 PC fish and 3 shrimps. Menu says chicken but dont come with the meal. Also drink not included it would be another $4. To expensive and as poor as Mc Donald
