Stopped here for fish and shrimp. It’s a new build. The Staff were nice and attentive. Food was hot. (The waffle fries didn’t quite hit the spot. )Place was clean. Would definitely eat here again. And I got a cardboard pirate hat. Lol.

First impressions are important and the lady that greeted me was fantastic! Very friendly, helpful and great personality. The second thing I noticed was how clean and organized everything was. All the worker seemed to have fun working together. The shrimp were the best! Tender and flavorful

New construction. Just opened in late 2025 or January 2026 so figured I’d try it out. Has the full LJS menu, unlike when it was part of Taco Bell in this area.
I bought a family meal and thought it was excellent. Cole slaw was exceptionally good and rest of meal was well prepared too. Not too greasy. Just right. Should have taken a picture before hand, but here’s a pic of a couple of the fish filets.

This place just opened. And if I cast my mind back to the last time I had LJS yearssssss ago, what I remember most is… “greasy.”
Anyways…I got the platter that had the most stuff. It had fish, chicken, shrimp, and hush puppies. I also got an order of clam strips, and sides of corn and green beans.
Although the chicken was an incredibly small/thin piece, the food was good-ish. Why good-ish? Because it was all really greasy. For the most part it was tolerable, except for the hush puppies. They were huge, but I’m sure that when I bit into it, I could feel the grease dripping out of it into my mouth.
The sides were good, especially the green beans.
The drive thru staff was excellent though. They were speedy and friendly.
I want to come back here again, but I don’t want a plate of fishy grease. I don’t know what the solution is….hotter oil? Let it strain a bit longer before serving it? Both?

The new $5 off the grilled bowls dont work at this store. Little disappointed since its a new location. Everything was wonderful and fresh. But for the price of the grilled bowls at $10 id rather go to chipolte across the street. It was only rice, shrimp and barley a finger full of cabbage.

Absolutely terrible experience. I walked over from the TA travel center to order out the 2 pcs fish and 3pcs chicken combo for $14.49. When I got back to my truck I only had 2 pieces of fish and missing a side. I called manager because I didn’t want to walk back over after the Winter storm Fern grounds are slippery and was hung up on. Never again.

Went to LJS today, Friday the 20th of march, first time here. The staff were overwhelmed with orders and a little bit upset consumers, but I will have to say, they handled themselves in an awesome and professional manner even being understaffed. Will go back again. Hopefully you guys hire more staff.
