Great experience, food is always good, clean restaurant.
Ordering on the app is a pain in the neck (NOT the restaurants fault) – you actually need to download TWO separate apps, which is crazy:

Coming home from a mini getaway to Gatlinburg I was ask by a friend to pick up some fish and chicken from LJS’s as a Christmas present for a little lady she works with. No locations are listed in NC though we think there may be a couple, though to far away to justify driving for a couple pieces of fosh/chicken and some crumbles, so I was happy to do so.
The person who waited on me was brash, loud, and funny, & they knew their stuff. Within 5 to 10 minutes I had a box of each and was out the door.
The only snafu was even after requested that extra crmbles (the batter that comes off while it’s being fried) there were hardly any, and the order taker made a point of stressing it, with the cook agreeing with something like…I’ve got this tone.Other than a lack of crumbles, the food was scrumptious and hot. Service was great. ThoughvI was taking this to go, the place looked clean, the ladies restroom was a one stall and you have to lock the door as you come in… it wasclean though. Altogether a good transaction.

My recent experience at Long John Silver’s was extremely disappointing. We went through the drive thru , they asked us to wait for our food and to pull behind the building. We ended up waiting for over 20 minutes for our order, and it was clear that the staff had completely forgotten about us. After finally getting someone’s attention, the manager ended up having to give us our money back because our food was nowhere to be found.
While the employees were quick to issue a refund, there was no apology or real effort to correct their mistake, which made the situation even more frustrating. This level of inattentive service is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of care for customers. I do not plan on returning anytime soon.

I have a secret! If you drove past the Long John Silvers on the Bristol Highway in North Johnson City, you would see a packed parking lot. Why? You probably thought like I did and thought LJS had seen its better days. Well, you won’t believe it but they have made a huge comeback! It reminds me of when I used to eat there as a kid with my parents. The fish fillets are thick and flavorful like they used to be 20 years ago. Big improvement on the new waffle fries. They also reworked the coleslaw recipe! I still can’t believe what a great meal it was. And I thought they were going out of business! Someone at the top is making some good changes! Wow!

Ordered online and picked up, got a mile away when I realized they forgot some of my order. Turned around and the lady wanted to argue with me about what was in the bag. They had forgotten all of my sides. Funny how she knew so much about what was in the bag considering she forgot half my meals … Hmmm

Its been quite a while since I’ve had a chance to stop in to long john silver’s and have an outstanding meal. On the run working. My lady and I have been passing by and getting gas next door for months. Finally stopped and grabbed up the sea shares fish and sea shares grilled shrimp. Both very fresh and delicious! Clean store. Good food. The necessary precautions due to the current situation are being taken. Glad we stopped.

This Long Johns is one of the few left I would recommend.. it is far better than Middlesboro, KY, Morristown, TN, Knoxville, TN, Rogersville, TN, Dandridge, TN, Sevierville, TN and etc .. most Long John’s fish taste like an old pot of stinking oil .. but here it’s ok .. so as of right now it’s the only one I recommend that’s in Johnson City, TN
