This was my first time visiting, and I was genuinely impressed by every part of the experience. The food, staff, and overall atmosphere exceeded my expectations. Scarlett was an exceptional hostess—warm, attentive, and welcoming from the moment I walked in.
The breakfast casserole was absolutely incredible, and with such an extensive menu, it took me a moment to decide what to try next. There are so many tempting options.
I will definitely be returning. A truly wonderful experience from start to finish.

Checked out Island Cafe for the first time today. We came for my birthday breakfast and Don was so great. He brought out a little dessert and sang me happy birthday by himself. It was so appreciated and sooo good.
Update: This has became a consistent local spot for us and I can truly say that ALL of the staff here in incredible!! Scarlet has taken care of us the most recent few times and she’s amazing!

This place is a gem! We had a basketball tournament in Battle Creek and our coach brought the team and parents here. We were a large party for this place, but they were super friendly, offered coffee during our wait and sat us all together. Our server Ashley handled our kids table with grace and was attentive. Food was delicious and came out quick once ordered.

Came here after a gymnastics meet at Kellogg Arena because of the great reviews and this place did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was friendly and welcoming. Stacy was our server and she was excellent! The guys split a Long Island Burger (w/ over easy egg on top—try it) and a Philly Cheese steak grilled cheese. My cousin and I both had omelets. She got a cinnamon roll pancake that she said was beyond amazing. The food came out hot, fresh, crisp and we had no issues with the changes we made, add this/minus that. Such an easy going relaxed environment. We cleaned our plates and are driving home full! If I’m in Battle Creek again would come back here again! (Pictures don’t do it justice i couldn’t take them fast enough before everyone dived in)

Scarlett G was great! This was my first experience at Long Island Cafe. I was on the road and needed a good breakfast and phoned in my order. Scarlett was very thorough reviewing all of the options, took my order, then repeated it back to me to validate it was correct. Upon entering I was welcomed by at least 4 or 5 staff members, said I was there for takeout and right away Scarlett acknowledged me by name, reviewed my order one final time with a smile and great attitude, thanked me for my business and wished me a great day. When spending my hard earned money, this is the type of service that keeps me coming back as a customer for life. Thank you Scarlett for the excellent service.

Tried Long Island Cafe for the first time today and it was delicious! Our waitress was amazing, service was fast, and food was nice and hot. Absolutely delicious. I tried their breakfast pizza flatbed and got a side of hash browns with cheese, onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. We will be returning to try the lunch menu next time.

This was our first experience and Long Island Cafe is now our new favorite. Don took great care of us. We had so many questions and EVERYTHING looked so great we had a hard time trying to decide—so we let Don decide for us! He wasn’t wrong. The chicken fried steak and chorizo breakfast burrito—wow! My husband cleaned his plate, and that seldom happens.
We are already discussing what we are going to try next time, and the time after that, and well, you get the picture.
BTW—I’m a spicy girl and their chipotle pepper sauce is the bomb.

Recently here at work, my job won Long Islands Cafe Local Business Support! I’ve gone into the restaurant a handful of times and can vouch the business and staff there are amazing! The place is very welcoming and the service is great always. As we were catered this meal I can still say the service was top! All of our food was there, from sides to condiments and any specific request, everything we needed and more was accounted for! So thankful for Macie and Zak for not only thanking us with this food but for going out of their ways to make sure our food was well packed, HOT and all in tack at drop off! We appreciate you both

We googled breakfast places after taking our cat to the vet, and found this place. So glad we did. The food was delicious and filling (and quick). Scarlett, our server, was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. All the servers were great at interacting with customers. The restaurant is cozy without being small, very charming and on theme without being kitschy. I’m a beach bum at heart, so right up my alley. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service. We enjoyed coming here, and we’ll be back.
