I’ve been to Long Bar at Raffles Boston several times, both in the summer on the terrace and during the colder season inside. Every visit has been consistently pleasant.
The atmosphere is great, with a lively yet relaxed vibe. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and professional, which really makes a difference. The live DJ adds a very European feel to the place, making it an excellent spot to enjoy a drink and unwind.
The food is good overall, but nothing particularly memorable or standout. That said, Long Bar really shines as a destination for cocktails, ambiance, and socializing rather than for a full dining experience.

I dined on the outdoor terrace and the unseasonably warm weather in October made this an outstanding experience. The shrimp salad was good but a bit bland. I really enjoyed the coquetas as a starter. The cocktail options are great. The service is impeccable and the decor outstanding.

A friend and I found this amazing spot after a quick “roof bar near me” search, and I’m so happy we did! The outdoor area was full when we arrived just before sunset, so we were seated indoors at the window. Lovely view! Our server, Stephanie, was top notch! She brought us yummy snacks and took our order once we had decided which cocktail to try. The Golden Hour was delicious! My bestie and I chatted for a long time, and Stephanie checked in with us periodically. When it came time for a second drink, I switched to my favorite very specific martini. Stephanie nailed my order, and the drink was perfect.
The following evening, I wound up in the same neighborhood with my (adult) son, so we headed up to Long Bar for the sunset. This time we were seated outside, and it was beautiful. Moments after sitting down, Stephanie appeared with snacks, took one look at me and said “Would you like another extra dirty Ketel One with two blue cheese olives?” She not only remembered me out of a crowded bar, she remembered the specifics of my favorite drink! Amazing service! I’ll be back next time I visit Boston!

The views are stunning, and the food was decent. That’s where the positives end.

This review earns two stars solely because the host worked her magic to get us a spot and because the food itself was acceptable. Beyond that, the experience was a letdown.

The service was outright disappointing. Our waitress seemed visibly irritated from the moment we sat down and made it clear that engaging with us was a burden. Simple, reasonable questions any first-time guest would ask: like where the bathroom was or what she recommended, were met with attitude and disinterest, as if hospitality were optional rather than the job.

For a restaurant charging these prices, this level of service is indefensible. While the food was fine, it was absolutely not worth the price, especially when paired with an experience that felt dismissive and borderline condescending. If we were treated differently because we were dressed casually, that’s even more troubling, but regardless, no guest paying these prices should feel unwelcome.

I won’t be returning. There are plenty of nearby restaurants offering comparable food, far better value, and service that actually matches their menu prices.

Went for brunch and adored it. The service was amazing, our waiter Jason N was great and ensured we enjoyed our meal. The breakfast sandwich was delicious! I’d love to come again, even just for a drink when the weather is nice because the balcony is beautiful!!

My fiancé made a reservation here 2 months in advance for my birthday dinner and requested a seat with a good view (timed right for sunset). Unfortunately we were sat in an alcove at the entrance of the restaurant, in between the hostess stand and the bathroom. It might have been the farthest seat from a window in the whole dining room.

The waitress admitted that our drinks were “mostly ice” after handing them to us, and our meals were very disappointing. The croquetas tasted good but oddly came in the shape of mozzarella sticks instead of traditional balls. I got the pesto gnocchi, which was grainy and tasted like cilantro salsa. He got the burger and it was underwhelming – stale bun, overcooked patty, unmelted cheese, aioli overkill and fries indistinguishable from McDonald’s.

We won’t repeat this restaurant for a date night and both left quite disappointed.

I first discovered this restaurant on TikTok and heard glowing recommendations from my friends, but I never imagined the atmosphere would be so delightful. Everyone was extremely friendly, and the food and cocktails were amazing!! The famous lobster roll was even better than the one I tried in New York + octopus and tuna starters are the best while drinking wine

I enjoyed relaxing while watching people meet their friends and the sun setting over the night-lit Boston skyline. For me, it’s the perfect restaurant for taking beautiful photos, enjoying delicious food, and simply unwinding. Natalia and Viktor are truly the heart of this place, they make it shine.

This is my forever favorite hidden gem in Boston: sophisticated, elegant, and unforgettable. I felt at home and cozy there

I came here on a Friday night with some friends and it was busy. Wait time was around 15 minutes. Great ambiance, good drinks, I definitely would come back to try their food.

The atmosphere is classy yet warm and cozy. The food presentation is beautiful; however, I believe the afternoon tea bites are not worth $100 per person. (Staff are nice and polite tho)

Went here for a sisters’ lunch date after reading great reviews and being drawn to the rooftop setting. While the food and drinks were decent, the service completely tainted the experience.

From the moment we walked in, the energy from the staff was cold and unwelcoming. The hostess barely acknowledged us and treated us as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Once we were finally seated, it took over 15 minutes before anyone came over to offer water or even say hello. Meanwhile, other tables that arrived after us were greeted and served almost immediately.

Thankfully, our server, once she finally arrived, was warm and attentive-honestly the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing visit.

I split my time between Boston and Miami, and I’ve experienced hospitality across the spectrum; from exceptional to forgettable. I don’t typically write “bad” reviews, but I’ve noticed a concerning pattern lately with service in Boston, especially as a woman of color. The food may be okay, but no meal is worth being made to feel unwelcome.
