We were concerned about coming to Lone Star due to all the restaurant closings, but we had gift cards to use. So we drove 45 min to the restaurant. The food was great and the service was excellent. Steaks cooked to the right temperature and everything came out hot and fresh.
However let me provide a warning. If you have gift cards, talk to the staff before ordering. Depending on when the cards were purchased you might not be able to use them due to the bankruptcy. The staff was great on providing the information to hopefully get a refund on the cards. If I had noticed this before the meal I may have considered not dining, since I had to pay for the meal that was a gift.

We usually love this place but tonight’s visit was horrible. We were seated immediately due to no crowds. We placed our order and received our drinks and bread rather quickly then it all went downhill from there. Our appetizer took a little while to come out and my wife and daughter ordered salads which came out about 30 minutes apart. We requested more bread when the first salad came out and didn’t receive it until we were getting ready to leave. We were there for about an hour and a half before our food finally came out.The waitress informed us that what we ordered was no longer available so we had to change our order for the second time. The waitress spilled hot grease that was on my plate onto my lap. My wife’s steak was undercooked and her baked potato had sugar in it. The waitress took her plate back into the kitchen to recook it and brought us our check before her plate ever came back out. We were looking at the check and they had charged us for 2 drinks that we didn’t order. When her plate finally came back out they had just put the steak back on the grill, there wasn’t any sour cream on the baked potato. The tables were rather sticky also. This would have been easier to understand if they were busy but there wasn’t that many customers and after tonight I can see why. We weren’t the only customers who were having problems tonight, the manager was seen at several tables during our visit and several customers were given free appetizers or such. We didn’t receive anything for our troubles. This is by far the worst visit we have ever had here. I don’t know if we will be going back anytime soon.

Rolls were room temperature. Steak was almost crunchy on top- being med. rare, should not be so well done on outside of steak. Refill of tea was not unsweetened, as had originally asked for. Had to wait on refill at that. When asked for additional rolls, was told would be 3 minutes. Waitress forgot to bring them.

I come here often over the past ten years the last two visits have been bad. I went on a Saturday night waited an hour to get seated, that’s not the problem I waited another hour to get my food but by then I asked to have it in a to go box. the waiter just avoided eye contact the whole time I was waiting, she didn’t even brought out the rolls. taken a break from this place

Sat my wife and I at a dirty table. Ask them to clean table 4 times before finally someone did. Booth seats with ripped seat cushions and worn backs on them. Food was not good. Bathrooms were dirty with toilet paper and hand paper towel in floor, trash over flowing, puddle of water in floor leaking from toilet. Over all bad experience…..we will not be stopping here again.

Anniversary dinner: Restaurant not busy but waited 5 min.to be seated drinks sweet tea and unsweet tea one had ice the other barely ice. Appetizer: Spinach dip not bad but not microwaved long enough.Now to order out of mac and cheese ordered steak and chicken fried steak 15 min later waitress comes back now they are of chiken fried steak overall experience too food not impressive and overpriced!!!

The food was not good the Mac and cheese was cold and nasty my husband asked for his burger plain and he didn’t get it that way and it wasn’t replaced the right way what if he was allergic to something and the waitress was rude about it. My mother in law’s steak was burnt on the outside and rubbery on the inside and the burger was dry.. most likely will not be back.

How do you get a hot plate and Luke warm meat and a potato? Really I understand ownership changes but at the rate the service is now they should go ahead and give up.oh and no one wants a floater in their beverage
