to home — and today was finally the day. They set up in the King Food Saver parking lot in Neosho, Missouri, and I made sure to get there.

London Pasty Company is known for both their pasties and their fish and chips, but the trucks rotate — it’s either the pasty truck or the fish truck. I’ve already reviewed their pasties (which you can find on my page), so today was all about the fish.

They’re serving pollock filets — and you get two large pieces with British-style fries for $13.99. I was greeted quickly and politely at the window, handed a buzzer, and waited in my vehicle. They opened at 11:00, and there were already several cars in the lot waiting. My buzzer went off in about five to eight minutes, which was a solid turnaround time.

I took my food back to the truck and dug in while it was hot.

Overall, it was a good experience. I won’t say it’s the best fish and chips I’ve ever had — that title still belongs to Yorkshire Fish & Chips in Denver, Colorado — but this was definitely enjoyable. The batter was light and crisp, not heavy or greasy. The fish was flaky and cooked well. The chips were solid, and I really liked their homemade tartar sauce.

They don’t get down this way very often — I usually see them within driving distance maybe once every two or three months — so it’s a bit of a treat when they do. I would absolutely catch them again when they’re nearby.

You can follow them on Facebook for their schedule. They also have a shared physical location in Nixa, Missouri, if you’d rather not wait on the truck to roll through.

If you see them pop up near you, it’s worth the stop

Stopped by the Fish & Chips food truck for dinner. Food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and not overly oily like some fried fish/shrimp places can be. Portion sizing is very generous. We got a fish & chips dinner and one shrimp & chips dinner and it was more than enough for two people to split. Sauces were really good too! I really appreciated that they gave us a buzzer to wait in our car while food was being prepared since it was pretty cold that evening. Waited maybe around 7 minutes for our food to be ready. Will definitely stop by the truck again soon!

Just tried them out and the food is delicious! The pastry was buttery and flaky and the filling was yummy. Had the Oktoberfest one. Brought a bunch of take and bake ones and cannot wait to try them later. So glad I finally got to try it out!! sorry one of the pics I already took a bite out of because I was so hungry lol.

Great, fresh, quick, quality fish and chips. Didn’t care for the sauce(too pickly) but otherwise great

Love the flaky yet crispiness of the fish!! Tried the shrimp as well this time and it didn’t disappoint! The crispiness of the fries is exactly what I like and the homemade tartar sauce is fantastic! Can’t wait to catch the Pasty truck and try that as well!

Amazing food and amazing business, I am starting a London Calling Savings fund so I always have the money when they are in town because they are just that good. I’ve only had the pasties but am excited for the fish and chips truck. I appreciate the Seasonal pasties as well. Will be giving them my business every time they come to my town.

Got the Indian pasties from the food truck, in Forsyth, today. They were so delicious I could hardly put them down. The flavors were amazing. Probably some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. I got the Indian pasties. And the dessert was out of this world. Light, sweet and makes you want more. Next time they come to Forsyth I’ll be visiting them.

We had an amazing experience when London Calling catered an event at my work. We have worked with several local restaurants for catering, and London Calling was above and beyond the best. The team was super friendly, educated about the pasties, hard-working, and generally seemed to love their jobs. The food was fantastic, too. Our team was all extremely impressed.
