It is not expensive when you consider that they make their own nacho chips, sauces and guac daily, along with whatever else you order.
It is a family run restaurant, who will go out of their way to make sure you have a great meal. The family are the ones serving you and cooking for you.

This place is a little hole in the wall place but it is so cute and the food is so good. I had the burrito bowl and it was phenomenal. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. Would highly recommend trying them out.

Such good food. We even traveled back home 30 mins with it and it was still warm and delicious.
My wife’s Fajitas were packed so neatly, and the garbage burrito was insanely delicious.
And it was ready in like 15 mins? That’s so fast.
My wife, who isn’t a “foodie” even said the meat was such better quality than other stuff around, and she friggin loved the chips. That’s high praise from someone who normally says stuff is “good” or “bad” haha.
I hope Lomeli’s gets all the business they can get.

Craving tamales since I’ve moved from NYC it’s been very long since I had good tamales. I found this surfing for tamales near me in Google and I hit the jackpot, you have to order them ahead of time, by half a dozen or a pound like I did but the wait was worth it. They are so delicious and very stuffed up with pork. Pack with flavor and very big. I am definitely going to order them again. I want to try the chicken ones next. Perhaps I can even order the pork ones as well for my daughter who lives over in Vermont. Can’t wait to sit down with my kiddos to grab a bite and try other things on the menu.

So 3.5 stars. I ordered super nachos with added jalapeños for$19.44. Steak is dry, beans are a touch bland. Overall the flavours are headed in the right directions but there’s a blunted underwhelming feeling on my tongue parts. The hot sauce was an unexpected delight, nice and bright but not too acidic. It’s a good thing they sell it in containers.
Guy behind the counter was nice and focused. Atmosphere is simple and no frills with some generic Mexican kitsch and Spanish words on the walls.
It doesn’t really hit the spot but it will do for some nostalgia.

We got a recommendation for this restaurant…. I’m so happy we followed through with going here for dinner. This was an amazing Mexican restaurant. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious! Its a nice cozy place downtown Plattsburgh. Very welcoming atmosphere. The owners were extremely friendly. We got the Sampler Platter and then we got 3 tacos. Everything was very tasty. The dessert, chirros and ice cream was delicious as well. The Mexican drink that they let us try with cinnamon in it (can’t remember the name) was really tasty. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Great little Mexican place we found while headed back from the Vermont Ferry. The food slapped harder than expected, HUGE portions, fun atmosphere. We saw tons of locals come in for take out, but you’re allowed to stay and eat at any open table.

Ordered from lomelis recently and I gotta say I was very pleased. We got the garbage burrito and the fat girl fries, both of which are delicious but don’t feel particularly Mexican – they’re probably catering towards college students. We also ordered the birria tacos (2 tacos and plus a little bowl of consomé) and wow – they were delicious. I would order the birria again every day of the week if I could. This was seriously one of the most flavorful things I’ve eaten in Plattsburgh. Can’t wait to go back to try the other dishes they offer with the birria.
