I love their crabcakes.
Our server Kelly was so nice and checked on us often. All of the staff are pleasant.
The atmosphere is “seafood diner”, casual with a bar. If you’re dining in the evening, sit outside or in the back dining room ~ the sunset view is AMAZING.

The Shrimp and Grits
that we’ve heard so much about was amazing! Perfectly done, wonderful flavor. And the She Crab soup was also perfect. Add the wonderful view of the Oak Island Creek and the marsh… amazing ! our server was delightful.

I stopped at LoLos because that’s what my nieces call me so I had to experience it. The food was great, I had the shrimp burger and fries and a Bahama mama. The server was very helpful and friendly! She even gave me a sample of an espresso drink of theirs which was very good! You can bring your dog into the outside area which is nice too!

This is our 2nd time here now, and loved both experiences. Rob the server was fun, and gave great food choice advice. We had a party of 4 and everyone loved their meals. It wasn’t too busy and the food came fast. Cool location too.

If you are looking for great seafood in a small local place this is a good place to go! The food was awesome. Its small place with limited seating so keep that in mind. We went around sunset time and it was very pretty. Sat in the covered porch area but not sure what else was available. There was a bar area that was full with people eating. Overall its a small place but food and service was great!

Are there tonight 1/18-26. Great service, great food, cool low country atmosphere with the absolute BEST view of the sunset in folly IMO. Will be going there again. Very charming spot and food did not disappoint. Very very large portions. They don’t skimp you.

If you are staying at Folly Beach and you want to get away from the super tourist sites downtown, then Lolo’s is the place. We had a wonderful meal there, my wife raved about her shrimp and grits. I got the Lowcountry boil, which was good, however, if I’m being 100% honest, I thought the crab legs were lacking. The meat was very stringy inside the shells. But the shrimp, undo, and potatoes were marvelous. We ordered the hush puppies for an appetizer and splashed a little hot sauce on them, and frankly, I was about as happy as a human being could get.
The staff was fun. Very friendly. We never really had to wait for anything. And the cocktail actually was a very nice pour.
When we come back to Folly, I can promise you we will come back here.

5+⭐ ALL AROUND!
I can’t tell you how many times we’ve passed Lolo’s and said “We should really try that place!” Decided to stop in on a Friday night at the suggestion of Mike. The sun was just starting to set so we took an outdoor seat with a sunset view.
It. Was. Perfect!
Nancy was our server and made us feel right at home! The kids felt comfortable ordering on their own and she spoke to them instead of ignoring or looking at us (we appreciate this!!)
We tried a cup of the She Crab soup, and this was our first time! Hubby enjoyed it, but I’m not sure I’m a fan. Of course, it might just be that I enjoy soup more when it’s colder outside.
️ The 5yo requested a hotdog with hush puppies and there wasn’t even a question at the request! ♥️ The hotdog actually looked really good, which I wasn’t expecting!
️ The 3yo asked for “plain shrimp” (broiled) with fries. Again, no issue! He ate every last shrimp, so they were a hit! Usually he’ll do that and just eat the fries, so that’s when we know it’s good!
️I had the shrimp burger and I don’t know what I was expecting, but this was similar to a crab cake but shrimp. I really liked it! The dill sauce took it to the next level!
️ Hubby had the grouper special for the day. It was a an herb crested grouper over a bed of wild rice with shredded brussel sprouts, mushrooms, pecans, onion and bacon. Plenty of flavor and also fairly white overall. His entire plate was cleaned.
We got to watch the sun go down while we enjoyed our food and knew that we had made the right choice!
Nancy gave the kids little cups of whipped cream when she delivered the check (our son’s birthday is this weekend), so that was a sweet little bonus!
We look forward to returning! ♥️
