Our server Hugh was very attentive, kind, friendly, and spot on with recommendations. He made our celebration very special with our prosecco. The food was top notch. My husband and I are foodies and have tried Spence Cafe, 9Prime, Andario, Capital Grill, and Vetri in Philly (that costs $600 total). L’Olivo blew Vetri out of the water. We’ve been looking for an elevated Italian restaurant and this is it. We will definitely be back. It was worth every penny especially the Fritto Misto (best fried seafood we’ve ever had). All the seafood throughout the 3 courses we had were all perfectly cooked. The lobster in my Perciatelli Nui Nui was so tender, the most tender lobster I’ve ever had. Also the Butterscotch bundt cake was superb.

Francis and Niu absolutely knocked it out of the park with their newest restaurant. We started with the Caesar salad wraps and the eggplant wraps. For pasta we tried the lasagna, the zucca, the perciatelli, and the creste. For mains we had the ribeye, the branzino, and the yellowfin tuna. We shared everything among four people and it was the perfect amount of food. My favorite dishes were the lasagna and the ribeye.
The atmosphere is amazing. If you had been to Suburban before like we had, they truly transformed the space. The service was incredibly fast and we were well taken care of from start to finish. If you like Birchrunville Cafe and Butterscotch Pastry like we do, you will not be disappointed.
They should be proud. It is absolutely worth the visit and we are already looking forward to returning soon.

First time at L’Olivo and had an outstanding experience. Service was excellent; staff was very attentive. Upon being seated the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything to which I responded “starting new job”. 3 separate staff members later said “Congratulations” as well. We ordered the Focaccia, Panchetta, Lamb Chops, Pork Chop, Stuff shells, Stuffed Flounder special, Sausage Pasta, and Mushroom Risotto. All were delicious and with great plating presentation. Pace was good. 2 hours for appetizers, pasta, secondi, and desert/coffee. Will bring out-of-town guests here in the future.

Delicious and well presented food. Attentive service, good drinks and cool bar space. We enjoyed everything we ordered and I appreciated that deserts were not overly sweet. A lot of times I find tiramisu too sweet and a bit too soaked for my taste. I do appreciate when there is a little complimentary surprise/offer from the chef in the restaurant of that caliber but it’s not offered here. A real nice restaurant in Chester County.

I can’t say one bad thing about this place! The atmosphere, the staff, and the fresh, delicious food- everything and everyone is great! Thank you to the staff for accommodating my dairy allergy and for making my birthday a great one! I will definitely be back.
Highly recommend the Carpaccio De Tonno and Raspberry Sorbet for dessert. So good!

Excellent food, service and ambiance! Cesar salad is like Birchrunville only larger and focaccia with smoked mozzarella special of the day both excellent. For entrees we got the sirloin with polenta which was cooked perfectly and yummy and the seafood crepe. The seafood crepe was very good it was rich with lobster bisque under it and cheese over it. The filling was all kinds of seafood including whole pieces of calamari. We had told our server we were there for our anniversary and we forgot it was byob he brought two glasses of complimentary wine. Love this place we will be back. Highly recommend

First time visit for dinner and will definitely be back. We were a party of four and our server Ashley took care of our needs and made sure all the orders were correct. The dishes we ordered were very nicely plated but most of all were delicious. We all agreed that the food and service was excellent, about the only area that could use some improvement has to do with the dining room acoustics. It’s loud. Not that the people were talking too loud but the room amplified all sounds, hence the 4 star atmosphere rating. This is a welcome dining experience and we all plan to be back soon.

PHENOMENAL! We tried this spot out for a date night tonight and we are seriously thinking about going back within the week! Everything was absolutely amazing! The service was fantastic, our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food was out of this world, every bite was delicious and flavorful. We also loved the presentation of everything we ordered! The pasta (which is made fresh/from scratch) was incredible. Definitely check this place out for either a date night or a nice dinner with family/friends. Can’t wait to return!!

Visited tonight for the first time after hearing great things. This is best ambiance of any of the new restaurants that have opened in the Downingtown area recently, IMO. We sat at a hightop in the bar area. Chairs were incredibly comfortable and tables are not on top of one another. The hostess and server were both lovely. Onto the food. I was surprised to not have bread or olive oil at an Italian restaurant, it felt like something was missing. The Cesar salad was so uniquely plated and really quite delicious. The gnocchi was light and airy, definitely recommend. The stuffed shell appetizer special came out as a ravioli (not what I expected) and while the sauce was good, the short rib wasn’t exciting and the pasta itself just missed the mark. My hubby felt the ravioli was under cooked. For dinner, I had the ribeye, and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. While it comes very beautifully plated (it’s stacked in a bowl style plate, with layers and a demi glaze underneath) it’s very hard to cut a thick ribeye stacked on bread, mushrooms and potatoes in a bowl. I’d rethink that plating. My hubby had the tuna and said it was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back to try more items from the menu.

This dinner changed my life.
It wiped away any sadness, anger, stress and angst I felt in life walking into that beautiful, magical space.
I left felling satiated, complete and like I was just the most special guest at their table.
The simple complexity of the layered ingredients came together in a way that you often have to leave the country to experience.
I made another reservation before our main course was even served!
The service and attention to detail was impeccable and if I was alone, I would have licked my plates.
From the water selection to the elegant tea cups- I was blown away!
Please come to this restaurant so it can be in my life forever!!!!
