So far so good.. chips&salsa are great!
I ordered the chili Colorado with no rice and with corn tortillas.
1. The portion was great.
2. The red sauce was fantastic!
The beef was nice and easy to cut with a fork and not chewy.
Definitely 5 for me. Will definitely repeat once I’ve made my local rounds and reviewed all the local Mexican restaurants.
Later this week look out for a review of their Huevos Rancheros.

Great food, good prices. One server is on it, always. The others? Not so much.
As we had a toddler with us, we weren’t offered a table away from the door, which gave us a blast of chilly air as the dinner crowd kept coming.
The difference between a good establishment and a truly Great one, the little gestures which keep people EAGER to come back. Observing customers and what their needs might be is a Hallmark of public service. Well actually service of any kind.
I will be back, I do enjoy the food there…. guacamole is a really good one, and fresh chips which aren’t stale nor over salted or oiled/greased.

My two favorite Mexican restaurants I used to frequent in Folsom closed, so upon Googling for a new place to try, we found this spot.
When we arrived, we stood near the doorway, not really sure what the process was. We didn’t see a sign stating “Seat yourself” but we also didn’t see any staff up front, so we stood awkwardly until an employee finally approached and told us to sit wherever before walking off.
After we sat down, we waited for at least ten minutes before someone came to take our order. Upon ordering, we were told the food would be “right out” however, after waiting for close to 40 minutes, we were still waiting for our food and we needed drink refills to boot. My boyfriend approached the bar area and told them we needed to be somewhere by 7. They told him they would make it a to-go order, so he came back over and we waited a bit longer. Right as we were standing up to leave and find the nearest drive-thru, an employee rushed up with bag of food and breathlessly announced our total.
This whole experience had us agreeing we wouldn’t be back. We watched a couple sit next to us and eventually leave, after being ignored by the staff. I wish we had left sooner like they had! Another nearby table had ordered before us and hadn’t received their food by the time we left (I’m sure they weren’t too happy seeing us get our food first). I don’t know if this was an off night for them but I guess we’ll never know!

Lolita’s great little Mexican restaurant. Has a variety of specialty dishes. One of the few places that have ” flour chips”, a must try for anyone that hasn’t had them. Chicken Fajitas, Fish Tacos and Taco Salads super yummy with left overs to always take home.

It wasn’t bad, but the whole family thought it was just so-so. The salsa has a nice kick to it. The ground beef crunchy taco I had was pretty good, as were the chicken enchiladas. No real complaints about the main items from anyone, but everyone agreed the rice and beans were a bit bland/flavorless.
