An Unforgettable First Date at Lola’s Lounge

I had my first date at Lola’s Lounge last night, and it honestly couldn’t have gone better. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. Everyone was so kind and attentive, the service was fast, the food was delicious, and the whole vibe was just perfect.

What truly made the night special was the personal touch from the owner. Not only did she treat us to a free drink/shot, but after we finished our meal, she and her friends invited us over to their table. They were so warm and friendly, even complimenting us as a couple and recommending places we could explore next.

My date was really impressed, he mentioned how refreshing it was to experience that kind of genuine hospitality, saying it’s not something you see too often back in the States. Seeing him so happy and relaxed made the night even more meaningful for me.

Thank you to everyone at Lola’s Lounge for turning a first date into a truly memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I took a trip to Sarnia a couple days ago to visit some friends of mine and we ended up picking this place for dinner. The atmosphere seemed really cool and I had very high hopes going in, but unfortunately the atmosphere did not make up for the experience. To start off, my friends are I were seated and the server came over and did the usual routine, took our order etc. Very nice initially, but my friends and I felt a bit rushed. I ended up ordering the ahi tuna dish because I’m a big fan of seafood. When we got our food, I felt like my food tasted funny but ignored it and continued to eat, thinking it was maybe just a me thing. I had my friend try a bite and she also said something tasted off. I just brushed it off because my friends were satisfied with their orders. We waited for a very long time for our bill and the server only came over twice in the entire time we were seated, to take our order, then to have us pay. I’m pretty easy to please, so I brushed it off, we paid and went on our way. Not even 30 minutes after dinner, I started getting severe stomach pains, to the point that I had to pull over my car. I’m not sure if I got food poisoning from a lack of proper prep with the fish or what happened, but I am still sick after eating here. I found it very disappointing because this place seemed really cool, but we will not be returning.

I came into Lola’s for a date with my girlfriend on the weekend, it was my first time in Lola’s. It was exceptional food quality, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Very unique!! Dining experience was amazing, the flood was flavorful, and beautifully presented, paired with knowledgeable, friendly staff who made the the overall experience that much better. Also…. Amazing wine selection!

I ordered the beef tenderloin, and it was perfectly cooked. My girlfriend ordered the lobster ravioli, both were out of this world delicious

Highly recommended and I will be returning! There was an amazing vibe in this restaurant and is worth every penny!! We are already planning our next date night

My partner and I had a reservation for 6pm last night. Upon our arrival everything was fine, we got a booth and the style of the restaurant was quaint. We ordered our drinks, and then finally our food after waiting a bit for a server to show up. I ended up going with French onion soup to start, and then ordered the chicken over angel hair. When the soup came I ate it as normal, until I bit into a small melted piece of plastic. I stopped eating the soup and set it to the side, and finally when someone came back to our table we informed them. The lady said she would talk to somebody, but never came back to tell us if she had or not. Throughout our whole entire meal we didn’t have anybody check on us asking if we needed more drinks, or if the food tasted good. The last time we saw our waitress was when she came to ask us if we wanted desert and the bill near the end of us living. We refused the dessert and got the bill, which they had only discounted the soup by $6.50. We paid and left, and afterwards the next morning I began to have debilitating gastrointestinal symptoms (I’m not sure if it was from the melted plastic or the food I ate itself). As much as I wanted to love this place and give it a chance, we were not impressed at all. We will not be returning.

We had the coconut shrimp app. Delicious.
Lobster ravioli for the entree. I highly recommend this dish.
Also, the espresso martinis were great probably the best I’ve ever had

The service was great, the food hit the spot, and the menu has a ton of great choices. We had the Tango Thai Hotpot Chicken and the Kung Pao Chicken as our mains. The Hotpot is a standout winner I would highly recommend. We also ordered the soup of the day which was cauliflower and bacon. It was amazing. I’d highly recommend stopping at Lola’s for lunch.

What a great little place. Love the decor. Food was good. A bit over priced. Was quiet and clean.

As soon as we walked in the door, I knew I was going to like this place. I was hoping they took as much care with the food as they did with their quirky, unique and fairly fabulous decor. I was not disappointed. Our server was exceptional; she knew the menu, her wine recommendation was spot on, and she paced her check-ins with us perfectly. We were looking for a lighter meal so we split the Tango Thai Hot Pot and it was delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and that broth was to die for. There were so many other wonderful sounding things on the menu, so we’ll definitely be back to try more!

Great place to eat if you’re exploring Sarnia. Decor is nice. Service was great, couldn’t be get a table without a reservation but we were offered one when the party didn’t show. The food was very good. I was worried because pork loin isn’t something I go for at restaurants but it was tender and plated well. I’ll definitely be back!
