We had brunch at Lola’s during a vacation trip to Chicago, and it was fantastic. When visiting, keep in mind this is a very popular and busy restaurant so sometimes there is a wait to get seated. But never fear, Lola’s is worth the wait. They offer a HUGE menu of both breakfast and lunch items, and everything we had was really well done and delicious. Portions are huge so there is no way you’d walk out hungry! When visiting, check out the cool collection of vintage kitchen items found in display cases around the restaurant. Lola’s is not a secret but if you haven’t visited you’re missing a great meal.

First of all let me start by saying that the waitress/ hostess/busperson was fantastic for being the only one there while having 8 tables to wait on, so like I said great person, now the food… So, this was the old Golden Nugget restaurant back in the day, ya know 24 hr. breakfast after going out to the bars, you know who you are. Well, the menu isn’t that diffrent I think but the food sure is. My wife and I both tried the country fried steaks and looking at it coming out it looked way overcooked and tasted very dry, there was the sausage gravy that they put a teeny tiny bit under the steak, anyway the gravy is nothing special, it’s a bump up from edible, the coffee was not good for my taste. Anyway, for the prices that we have to pay nowadays at least have some decent food.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. We got a seat no problem. Found street parking right down the road. Service was fast. Food was good. I tried the Swedish pancakes which were good but SWEET. The chicken soup noodles were very soft. But pretty decent diner food. And very clean. Good atmosphere. Menu is big so I’ll definitely be back to try something else.

Had a great experience here this morning for breakfast. My husband and I were seated immediately and received friendly service shortly after. The space is nice and feels clean and modern, while still keeping a small diner charm. The food was delicious, the quantities big, and the price were very affordable. This is exactly the spot that has been missing from the neighborhood. We will definitely be regulars here.

Quite good overall. Minor gripe at payment time: Payment system conveniently added an extra dollar to my bill for who knows what reason? Country fried steak was quite good.. not sure what cut of beef they used but it was tender. Not sure it was a proper steak but definitely crunchy and tasty with gravy. $14 and change for the dish cant complain much there. Reasonable price and included steam veggies and mashed potatoes. I’d probably come bak just for that dish in Future.

The food is ok here but the service is sub-par. I had an over cheesy omelet here that made me lose my appetite and one of the yound waitress decided to try and get disrespectful instead of providing a discount. I come here often and the way she handled my situation would make me discontinue being a patron at this establishment. Overall the food is usually good here. I think prices could be lower as well. The French toast is a favorite.

We love it. Welcome to the area.. great spot for breakfast. It’s our 2nd time here. Service is improving. Order error by kitchen fixed right away. They do need a turkey meat option for breakfast especially in this area.
