Never had Filipino brunch. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. The people are super chill and I got their drink flight, pancake kamayan flight with their avocado, ube fruity pebbles, and guava flaves, and brunch kamayan to try. The drink flight came with a citrusy hibiscus calamarsi, average mango and apple juice, and cinnamony spiced ube horchata. All the pancakes had crisp edges and were super fluffy and buttery and topped with flavored yummy sauces. The avocado one had all those earthy and creamy notes, the guava one had light fruity tropical guava flaves, but my fave was definitely the ube fruity pebbles one which was amazingly nutty, vanillay, not too sweet, and perfectly complemented by the crispity crunchy fruity pebbles on top. The brunch kamayan came with Garlic Rice, sweet sticky Tocino pork, savory Chicken Adobo, sweet fatty Longanisa sausage, tangy vinegary Beef Tapa, crispity crunchy savory Lumpia, super juicy fresh crisp Tomato Salad, and perfectly cooked Sunny-Side-Up Eggs. This place is lowkey pretty good.

Drink flight $16
Pancake flight $20
Brunch kamayan $65

Lola’s By MFK is new breakfast and brunch place in West Covina. It’s a modern casual dining that offer traditional fresh Filipino cuisine as well as classic American breakfast such as Pancakes and French toasts.

Their menu is compendious that customers will surely love. Interior layout was modest with a dash of Philippine culture. I love the portrait of their Lola at the front corner.

I came today for Brunch after a late night Yelp Elite Holiday Awards at Whittier in which I won an award. They were one of the food vendors that’s why I came….prolly bec of a girl. Lol. Anyways, back to this review. I perused their brunch menu and opted for a Bang-siliog (Milk fish meal) and drip coffee. Food was delightfully fresh and tasty. Coffee was good.

Staff were great and affable especially that young adorable lady. Food portion was above average; prices were fair. Service was spot on. Overall, I enjoyed eating at Lola’s. I highly recommend you visit.

Both the iloko moco and ube horchata were good! Staff was friendly and it was clean inside. I would like to try more items whenever the full menu becomes available.

Brunch style Filipino food. Great job on the menu that has something to offer to kids and adults. Loved the pancakes and surprisingly amazed by how yummy the mango was. I liked it better than the Ube and avocado flavors. Although they are also so good! Just a matter of preference.
Fave item here is the bangus sisig. I will eat this again and again and I get some to go. Of course, all the silogs are also a must. The best one I think is the tapa.

People that work there are happy. Can’t wait to go back.

Decided to stop by this spot on a whim, super glad that I did. Their Ube Horchata is absolutely delicious. Also tried the Iloko Moco, tons of favor and very filling. I’ll definitely be coming here again
