BAMA TRUCKER – ROLL TIDE
Unfortunately, that excitement didn’t last long.
I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and the entire restaurant looked like a tornado had come through. Tables were cluttered, floors were messy, and there was a general sense of disorganization from the moment I stepped inside. That should’ve been my first clue—but I decided to stick it out.
I sat at the bar, as I usually do when dining alone, and was immediately put off by the condition of it. The bar top was filthy—discarded food, dirty dishes, empty glasses, and menus scattered everywhere. It looked like it hadn’t been wiped down in quite some time.
Several other patrons sat down around the same time I did. After waiting more than ten minutes (a guest should be acknowledged as soon as they sit down), the bartender—who had been behind the bar the entire time—finally acknowledged me. I ordered a beer, and somehow it took another ten-plus minutes to get it. She wasn’t slammed. She wasn’t hustling between orders. She was chatting with another customer. To make matters worse, she wasn’t even the one who ultimately poured and handed me the beer.
While sitting there, I watched a family with kids get seated at a table that hadn’t even been cleaned yet. The host had to wipe it down and sweep underneath it while the family awkwardly waited. Two young boys (bus boys) came out from the back area with bewildered looks on their faces, which only added to the sense that this place was in complete disarray.
The overall atmosphere felt chaotic and unmanaged. It desperately needs leadership—actual management that cares about standards, cleanliness, and guest experience. Not managers who just show up to collect a paycheck and bark orders without taking ownership of the operation.
I came in expecting a solid steakhouse experience. What I got was confusion, neglect, and disappointment.
Extremely disappointed in Logan’s.
Hey look, there’s a Buffalo Wild Wings!
Food was good, not Great
Staff was friendly and average
Dinnerware, those plates and glasses with chips need to be tossed out.
Don’t skimp on the Stake sauce. Come on, you’re cutting corners doing this. Give the customer the bottle!!!!!!!
You have a few very good Staff/ Servers and a few that need a bit more training. As in
Taking 1 item to a table, they can hold it in their hand.
Taking 2 items to a table, they can hold them in their hands.
Taking 3 or More, require a tray, zero exceptions.
A server carrying anything between their arm and body is totally unacceptable!
Management needs to make sure ALL staff has their own tray.
It was the very first time in my 54 years on earth that I dipped my ribeye into ketchup. Yum!
