I haven’t had Logans Roadhouse since it closed in my area years ago. So while here in Johnson City I stop by. The appearance is old need some work outside and inside. It was kinda dead . Not as packed as it competitor. I ordered the Cajun pasta with chicken and sausage. Amber my server was very attentive.

The smoked salmon was delicious, and the roadhouse rice was great as well! The rolls are always fresh and buttery, and the onion rings were larger than any I’ve had before. The waitress was very attentive and courteous, and the restaurant was clean.

Had a Smokehouse Platter here. Reviewing each item on the platter:
Chicken – Terrible, 1/10. the meat was pink underneath the charred exterior and BBQ sauce. I obviously did not have a meat thermometer with me to probe its temperature but I for one find it unsightly for chicken to be of this color.
The ribs – 10/10. Absolutely delicious. I should’ve had a rack of these.
The sausage – 10/10. The saussy was bursting with flavor and was very juicy.
Fries – 7/10. Nothing special here but they were passable.
Mac & Cheese – 6/10. Very plain honestly considering they charge a premium for this.
Overall I’d say it was pretty good but fix those chickens better.

This routinely has excellent service and entrees. However, tonight’s experience was poor and the server was responsible. I would call it willful neglect since she chose NOT to do anything in a timely fashion. No plates on the table with 3 opportunities to bring them (with drinks, with bread, with the appetizer) before I spoke up and requested plates. She walked maybe 15 feet, picked up 3 plates, spoke with other staff then sat the plates down (not on my table) and walked into the kitchen. Four minutes passed and I stood up and took the plates from the adjacent empty table. From this point, I’m critical of every part of my this dining experience. She failed to bring butter, she failed to bring out all the entrees at once, she failed to bring steak sauce when requested, the food was dry (fries were not fresh, steak was tough, even the corn was dry on top and it comes in a dish with fluid in it) as if left under heat lamps longer than necessary, she failed to bring to-go boxes after the check was paid and I requested them. She made me wait an additional 7 minutes for boxes that were also less than 15 ft from our table. Such a frustrating experience due to one staff member with poor time management and no sense of urgency related to basic customer service. Very disappointed. Management needs to do better because that is where the buck stops. Monitor your staff and provide better training. Just unacceptable.

Our waitress was excellent, always checked on us to see ww needed anything.
Mom got the plank Salmon, which enjoy very much, my sister and I had steak. It was cooked exactly as we asked for. We did take the key lime cheesecake home as we were stuffed! The cheesecake was delicious later with a hot coffee.
Definitely will go back.

What a nice surprise! The food was amazing, and portions were huge. I’m a big girl and I still had over half of my meal left! I got the Logan steak (which was cooked beautifully!) and my boyfriend got the country fried chicken which he had 3/4 left over. Rolls were fantastic annd the onion ring app… wow!! Our server was Morgan and not only did our drinks never go empty, but she was on top of everything! 10/10 we will be returning customers.

It was easy to enter, and there was plenty of parking. There was no waiting at the time I was there, but the restaurant was full. Excellent service was provided, and the food was hot and fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly and tender. I love the rolls.

Went today for lunch. Just left. Service was good even with a large party. Apps were good. Entrées were bad. Hubby finished his because he was starved but I couldn’t even finish mine. I ordered my usual steak cob, medium. Server told me they couldn’t cook it took medium it was too hard? Never an issue before buy okay. Greens were wilted and slimy. Appetite gone. Left disappointed.

The food is okay (steaks definitely better than the seafood), but our experience would have been much better if we had had decent service. The host guy working at the front was very helpful when we couldn’t find our waitress.. I’m glad he was there! Our server didn’t ask basic questions, like how our food was, did we want dessert, etc. She seemed like she’d rather be doing anything else. This was really unfortunate since it was my mom’s birthday, and the food wasn’t that good to make up for the poor service (there were maybe 4 tables total, so it wasn’t busy). As far as atmosphere, it was strange.. not very good speakers/crackly music, waitresses standing around talking, etc. 4 stars as it wasn’t very expensive. I doubt we will be back anytime soon, though, given we couldn’t have basic communication with her constantly rushing away. Might have better luck during rush times!
