I’ve eaten here on 2 different trips and I’ve enjoyed my food both times. The portions are large and the price is reasonable. There’s always a wait but the line moves quickly and efficiently. I would eat here again on another trip. If the line extends to the end of the porch, you’re looking at about 30-45 min wait time.

We were warned to not skip this breakfast experience if the line was long because it moves fast. We did not encounter a line eating a late breakfast at approximately 9:30 a.m. Seated right away and the server was prepared to make recommendations based on our questions. The food came out in a very timely manner and looked and tasted great. All food was prepared as ordered. I had the country ham, with scrambled eggs (one extra for a total of 3) and pancakes. My wife had the bacon, fried eggs over easy, and pancakes. Portions were plentiful. Our server was attentive and responsive to our needs and requests. If I had a suggestion, it would be to have warm pancake syrup as an option. It may have been an option but I did not ask. Syrup was on the table. This place definitely has made our favorite list! Checkout was a breeze and staff very friendly.

Had a late brunch here and it was amazing as always. The place looked very different without all the school flags on the ceiling, but it looked good, more mountain feel. Tried the fried bologna with fried eggs, soooo think & delicious. The pancakes were fantastic. Great service too.

My hotel had a review that included a comment about the great Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin down the street so I decided to try it. The place is popular and there were several groups waiting for tables. I was added to the wait list and within 8 minutes my table for one was available. I ordered an egg and hash brown skillet that came with two house pancakes. My food arrived fairly soon and I decided to start by trying the pancakes which were tough to cut with my fork and they were barely warm. Then, upon biting into the eggs and hash browns, I noticed they were not quite room temperature. I flagged the server who immediately called the floor manager over and asked if I wanted everything remade? I asked for just a reheat and they responded very favorably wanting me to be pleased. Within just a few minutes I had new pancakes and well heated eggs and hash browns with Pico and cheese on top. I was impressed with the very attentive server and the manager who also checked on me twice. The only downside was that even the second batch of pancakes were tough to cut and really had little flavor except for the added bananas I had ordered as an add-on. It bothered me that the word pancake is in the name of this restaurant but it didn’t seem to live up to its name. I know that when a batter is over-mixed it can create toughness. I personally like fluffy flavorful pancakes. The coffee was good with a pot brought to the table. I know restaurants can have occasional kitchen problems and I was impressed with Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin’s fast response to my request.

I absolutely loved this pancake house! They have a long line on Saturday mornings, but it moves quickly, it took about 25–30 minutes for a group of ten. The food was amazing and the service was even better, the quality of everything was truly outstanding. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re traveling around the Gatlinburg area!
