We fell in love with this place before we even walked in. An authentic log cabin through and through. Great atmosphere. I can see myself enjoying dinner with friends all cozy inside while the snow howls outside.
I called for reservations a few days prior. They were closed so I left a message with my request. Since they only opened at 4:30 the day of my requested reservation I figured I wouldn’t know if they could accommodate us until they opened on the actual day. Pam, the owner called a couple of days prior to confirm the reservation. Much appreciated and a great touch so we didn’t have to wonder about it.
Denise was our server and did a fantastic job.
I had the French onion soup and the filet and garlic shrimp special with cheesy mashed potatoes. My wife had the Delmonico with rice pilaf. Everything was superb, perfectly prepared and well seasoned. A great evening and a new favorite for us.

Outstanding food and service! A superb little rustic restaurant in remote, scenic North Central PA. Food was A++. Service was A++. Atmosphere was A++. Waitstaff is very friendly and know how to keep our drinks filled, make good conversation, and provide top-notch service throughout. Well worth a day or half day drive (or overnight stay nearby) to experience this restaurant!

All staff were welcoming from owner/hostess, waitress, and dessert server. The atmosphere inside this restaurant is warm and cozy. We had steak alaska which was wonderful. We will definitely return again.
Returned a year later and had the same wonderful experience for our 40th anniversary. We had the special; filet in bourbon sauce which was delicious. Blueberry cream cheesecake and brownie sundae for dessert. Food amazing. Service tremendous. Atmosphere gorgeous!!!!

Dinner reservation was made for a girls weekend with my SIL. When we arrived we were told our table wasn’t ready yet so we took a seat. Two couples arriving after us (both parties of 2 and clearly locals) however were seated immediately. The host advised she would move things around and seated us. Food was good, selection was good (especially the desserts) but the menu was confusing regarding sides. The desserts were presented by a very knowlegeable server who took her job seriously! Her recommendations were spot on. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a great atmosphere. We stayed til almost closing without being rushed out. Service was quick, a little pricey but portions were good. A place to stop again when we are back in the are!

Relaxed atmosphere serving delectable dishes. We each had a drink. Absolutely A peach cosmo and Absolut Rasberri tickler. I went with the chicken florentine, and my husband got the steak Alaska, and he upgraded his steak to the 9 oz filet. We both got the French onion soup. It was loaded with cheese. Dessert was the chocolate confusion, with ice cream on the side. Everything was delicious and we could not have been happier. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as this place does tend to book up quickly.

The good. Old Fashioned drinks tasted great and our waitress was very attentive.

The lobster was like rubber and the shrimp was very fishy, definitely was not fresh.

The clam chowder had very rubbery clams pieces and almost tasted canned.

Steaks were “eh”. The cost definitely did not match the quality. For the price, we were expecting much, much better quality.

Neat little restaurant that is built like a log cabin. Very rustic interior with a beautiful fireplace. We ate there the Saturday before Christmas, so the place was beautifully decorated! It was Elf night, so all the workers were dressed like elves. This was cool and made for a festive atmosphere . Food was very good with large portions and a tremendous dessert tray for your sweet tooth. Service was decent considering who busy they were.

My family of 5 stopped here after walking out of a local Inn & Restaurant without eating anything. We were camping close…it was almost 7pm, dark & raining & we were all hangry. So, we walk into this super cozy foyer & I can see the dining area, dimly lit, beautiful ambiance. It smelled amazing. A woman walked up & abruptly told that dinner is by reservation only. She wasn’t downright rude, but definitely did not come off as a nice person. Ugh. We were so frustrated, but what can you do? We went back to the camper & had frozen pizza on the Blackstone.

The next day, we decided to make a reservation. We spoke to the same woman as the night before & I will say, in the nicest way possible, she is just not a pleasant person. We felt like we were begging to get in & we were bothering her by calling.

I am so glad we decided to make that reservation & go back! The same woman seated us & my youngest son, who is the cutest 8 year old, got her to smile & joke about a sign on the desk. Our server, Denise, was AMAZING! I honestly have never had a better server in my life. She was smiling, happy, friendly, knew about the menu, didn’t rush us…perfection! My husband & I both got a cocktail & they came out fast & were good. We each got soup & a roll before the appetizer came out & they actually even brought us extra rolls. We shared 2 appetizers & had trouble eating all of it. Our meals were all fantastic & we just had a really nice evening as a family.

This is the best place in the area for a family meal.

Looking online, I did see posted that reservations are required. I did not see that posted anywhere outside or inside the building, which could be extremely helpful.

Literally the best steak I have ever had in my life. So tender, so flavorful, and just melts in your mouth with every bite. The Delomonico and Queen prime rib were out of this world. We came from out of town for the weekend and Im beyond upset that this gem is over 3 hours from me. I would honestly make the travel just for their steak. An absolute must for anyone visiting and looking for an outstanding food experience.

A roadside anomaly with a wonderful surprise inside. We had great meals of well prepared steak and chicken. The ambiance and staff were engaging. There is a separate bar and small seating area away from the dining room. Reservations are recommended for Th-Fri-Sat dinner. Worth the short trip from Wellsboro.
