Had jalapeno stuffed shrimp for appetizer. They had the perfect blend of ingredients and it was not overly spicy. For entree had fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. I requested it to be blackened and the dish was delicious! The service was perfect and loved the rustic atmosphere.

The food is amazing here and you can’t go wrong with anything but you must follow with the peanut butter pie for dessert. It is unforgettable! The oatmeal crust and chocolate ganache are the perfect pairing with the creamy peanut butter.

My favorite meal is the Chicken Alexandra. The flavors are sensational and I have never experienced a better chicken dish anywhere.

This place is truly a local treasure!

This cute little rustic cabin is so welcoming when you first arrive from the decor to the people it’s just adorable. Once you go in and get seated you see a beautiful view of the mountains and it’s just breathtaking.

Now for the food. All I can say is everything was perfectly delicious. The calamari was probably the best I have had here in Pittsburgh since moving to the area. The Ribeye was so tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. I have absolutely no complaints about it. The broccoli was cooked to the perfect crunch to softness ratio but was just a tad to salty for me (I do not do salt). I also got an Espresso Martini and it did not disappoint.

Prices are also quite comparable to most places and the meat is butchered locally which I also love. Supporting local small owned businesses and farmers.

This was my first visit after passing the Log Cabin 100s of times. I attended a Christmas luncheon and I will say it was delicious and wonderful! I absolutely love the inside and the decor. It was freezing cold outside and the inside was very warm. Everyone thought their meals were perfect, not one compliant. Our waitress was very good and attentive. I would highly recommend the Log Cabin Inn.

A hidden gem with cozy vibes and food that warms the soul.
The daily specials were a delightful surprise, and the overall experience deserves more than 5 stars.
The only downside was the lack of guest Wi-Fi — and no cell service, which made it hard to stay connected.
But maybe that’s part of the charm — a real retreat from the noise

Quaint in a restored log cabin. Service was prompt and efficient. Server answered all our questions politely with a smile. Food was excellent. I had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. Sandwich was delicious. Fries were good, but some were undercooked. Companion had a hamburger and regular fries. He enjoyed it immensely. The hamburger was perfectly cooked. Fries were hot and well cooked.
Atmosphere was good.
I plan on returning to try some other items.

This is, by far, my favorite local restaurant. It’s the best kept secret of the Zelienople – Harmony, PA area. My partner and I make this place a monthly date night destination… Sometimes, twice. Reserve a table online, as the locals already know how amazing this place is. The menu staples are all excellent and change sesonally. The weekly chef specials are always top-notch and a must try. “Check out the pictures below.” This restaurant is part of the locally-owned Springfield Restaurant Group/Chain. I would highly recommend that you check out another hidden gem, The Springfield Grill, located in Mars, PA.

Update: Satisfied
This is an update to the below review and I’maddinga Star. After speaking with someone from their hospitality group, we were able to discuss the below concerns and I believe this was a “one off” experience that occurred due to all the “stars aligning”. I’m hopeful this was just a blip on the radar and will definitely return to give them the opportunity to show that.

Disappointed…

I’m not one to write many reviews unless it’s an exceptional experience or a serious disappointment. This unfortunately falls in the disappointment category. We’ve been to the Log Cabin many times and rarely have any issues, however, on our last visit, we received less than par for one of our favorite local restaurants. I wasn’t starving and there was a petite filet and rock shrimp that sounded really good so I decided to try it. I ordered the steak medium and the first time it came out, is was at best Pittsburgh Rare, so much so the waitress didn’t even get the whole phrase “is everything ok” out of her mouth before she saw the steak. She took it back and a little while later, she returned with it. Unfortunately, the first 2 bites the second time were so charred Ihad to say something, and when she stopped by, she said she was going to speak to the manager. At that point I gave up on the steak and undercooked potatoes and just ate the shrimp and some bread.

First I’ll say the service was not an issue in any way, Jessica did here best to help with the situation. My biggest issue is the management couldn’t seem to be bothered to stop by a table that had not 1 but 2 poorly cooked dishes. Instead, they simply comped a drink and I guess just assumed that was good enough. While it was the dinner rush, it was definitely not too busy to stop by and check on a table that had poorly cooked food. In the past, many times we’ve had someone simply stop by to see how everything was regardless of any concerns. To be honest, a simple acknowledgement of the issue would have meant more and probably would have satisfied the situation. While I won’t threaten like some people never to return, I unfortunately don’t know that I’ll be able to recommend them the way I used to until I see this is a one off and not a new standard.

I’ll be completely honest, when I pulled in here I was very apprehensive. I judged this book by it’s cover and found it lacking. My first thought was that this was the type of place that wouldn’t know when to stop cooking their food. It was for this exact reason that I didn’t order the salmon. A decision which I regretted when my chicken came out juicy and AMAZING. The waitress we had, (Lissa I think her name may have been?) was so great too. Perfectly attentive and genuine. I ordered the Alexandra and I could have fainted at the flavor. It was an absolute amazing blend of artichoke, tomato, and creamy sauce. The chicken was absolutely delicious. If i’m ever back in this area, I will absolutely be back to try the salmon! My dining partner had a salad which was also beautifully presented with the perfect balance of lettuce and toppings. We also enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms which came with a lovely marinara.
