We discovered this place about 3 years ago when our daughter had a volleyball tournament in Ruston, and we make sure to eat there every time we come to another tournament! The service is great, very polite and courteous wait staff. They offer a wide variety of food selections, which makes it easy to satisfy everyone in your party. Great food and good prices. We will be back!!!

We searched Google for a restaurant in Rustin, La. No particular type. Came across Log Cabin Grill & Market. Reviewed their menu and said “This is the one”! Entering the parking lot, there were so many cars, we knew this was going to be amazing. We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated. Our waitress Areia was so excited to be our server and fun to talk and joke with! She answered our questions, as this was our first time there. Very knowledgeable and engaging! The menu has so much to offer for everyone. It was hard to decide, in a good way. I ordered three enchiladas, two ground beef and a cheese and onion with Queso sauce, refried beans and rice. It was delicious! I’m not usually a fan of the rice unless I mix with the beans, but this rice had a lot of flavor all by itself. Even a little kick of spicy but not overly. Ground beef was yummy but really enjoyed the cheese and onion. My husband had tacos, Boom boom shrimp and fajita steak with aoili sauce and they were fire!! (As in yummy) Loaded roasted baked potatoes as a side, delicious! Highly recommend trying this place! We will be coming back to try new things and bring our family and friends!!

I was craving a burger intensely and this hit the spot!
I got the Burner Burger w a side of macaroni and my company got the Fried Mushrooms. We split the barbecue nachos which is a very generous portion! We ended everything with the cheesecake.
Out of the things I ate everything besides the macaroni was a 10/10. I plan to come back and try another one of their burgers asap with a different side. The macaroni had some curchy bits of overcooked pasta but nothing inedible. The cheesecake was incredible and had a lot of crumbly graham cracker crust. The waiter was nice and attentive.
If I knew the experience I was going to have, I would go back ten times over in a heartbeat!

This was something I lucked into. I found it totally by accident. I am traveling across upper LA on I-20. I left Shreveport this morning, went to a customer site and once that was done I contemplated grabbing something near there or waiting until I got to Ruston. I am so glad I waited. I arrived early to the hotel so I searched for some place to get a late lunch. I saw something online near the hotel and started that way but drove by Log Cabin Grill and pulled over to check it out. (Funny it didn’t show up on my Apple Maps when I searched Restaurants nearby ). Google reviews looked great so I went back. The menu was overwhelming, it was a long time since breakfast and I wanted everything. I asked my server Avery for a suggestion and she was spot on, chicken fried chicken. It was delicious. Freshly made. Dessert was peach bread pudding with ice cream. If you are traveling through, do yourself a favor and stop here. If you live in the area then surely you have to already know how great this place is.
Update: After working in Grambling I was heading to Vicksburg and stopped by here for lunch. Even if I would have been heading towards Shreveport I was planning on coming here again. No matter which direction I was traveling. This time I had Liz as my server, she recommended two different items than what I had yesterday… both were ones I was struggling with making a choice between. So I used a coin flip app and went 3 out of 5, hamburger steak won out. Another delicious meal and dessert.

1st Timer , review coming The good, nice atmosphere,chips and salsa was very good. Service was excellent! Drinks tea were perfect. We both got the Diablo Burgers. Wasn’t really what either of us was expecting. Was just ok.I really do not know what we were expecting. It was just ok. That said I am not going bump them on one menu item. The place stays packed so the doing something right. Definitely go back and get a menu item like Taco salad or fajitas so I can be more objective.

Food was pretty good, but nothing fancy. I’d go back. Service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly, and went above and beyond to help with menu questions and ensure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was overall clean, and we’ll maintained, including the restroom. The place has a laid back atmosphere, where you can grab a meal on any given day, or a fun place for a date night. We didn’t drink on this visit, but they do have a bar.

Our first time eating here and the food was so delicious. Service by staff was excellent. Before leaving town and heading back home to Texas we went back and ordered two more orders of the fried mushrooms to eat while on the road home. That’s how delicious they were. Will definitely be back when we are in town again.

In for the better halfs’ birthday today, haven’t been here in a bit and thought I would refresh this review. This is still the top quality restaurant it’s always been. I had their large shrimp platter and it was amazing, their fried shrimp are to die for. Better half had their open-face and professed it was wonderful as well. Service was over the top as it always has been, we were well taken care of. Again this business is highly recommended.

With a party of 10, From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She made us feel right at home, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her friendly personality and excellent service truly stood out and made our vacation dining experience even better. If you’re dining at Log Cabin, ask for Kylie, she’s outstanding!
