Reviews
If you’re looking for a charming breakfast spot with a warm, rustic feel, The Lodge Coffee Shop on 8191 Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights, CA is a must-visit! This small A-frame restaurant brings the cozy, cabin-like atmosphere of South Lake Tahoe right into town, making it the perfect spot to start your morning.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly and incredible service. The staff made us feel right at home, which only added to the inviting ambiance.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely fantastic. I had a classic breakfast of eggs, ham, and a short stack of pancakes, and everything was cooked to perfection. My wife went with the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, which was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a comforting breakfast. And let’s not forget the coffee—rich, smooth, and just right.
We enjoyed ourselves very much and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot. The Lodge Coffee Shop delivers on quality food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – We’ll definitely be back!
In the end the friendly staff couldn’t make up for boring poorly prepared food.
Ambiance:
This place is just weird, very strange. Staff acts as if this place is the best in the world, it is not.
Interior:
Again, strange and uncomfortable. It was clean as far as most areas, but you never know.
Food:
Omelette, not filling, sparse, bacon was absolutely strange. They claim they have the best hash browns, but in my eyes they taste like rancid oil and mushy, not good at all.
Other items I did see on family’s plate, looked off as well.
This place seems like a “Let’s start a restaurant” but have never ran one as the methods of cooking breakfast food and more was not standard in any way.
Prices:
Super cost absorbatant. Way too expensive.
Overall:
There was a lot of high reviews, but DO NOT let this fool you, the food is very bad. Beware.
I am a reasonable guy, I know good food and have nothing against the staff or owners, however this place is just NOT good.
DNV this establishment.
Also people selling Avon in the lobby. So weird. Won’t be back.
