Babyyyy!!!!! If I could give this place TEN stars, I would!! This is the PERFECT place for authentic Mexican Cuisine! The food was FRESH, HOT, and cooked to PERFECTION! The staff treated us like family, and everyone was SO nice! We were in town for my son’s XC race, so my sister and I stumbled upon this place Friday night, and they happened to be having a block party to celebrate their 1 year anniversary at this location. It was SO good, we had to go back the NEXT day to take my son!! I wouldn’t mind driving back to Tupelo just for THIS restaurant! I will DEFINITELY be going back. Everything was affordable and VERY reasonably priced as well!

Came here with my husband and in-laws for a late lunch today. The place is super cute and nice! Love the brick and bright colors. We shared chips and salsa, the chips were very fresh and delicious. My husband got the pork belly tacos, mother in law got the quesadilla and father in law got the wings. I got the Doritos nachos, which is the only photo I have. Everything was great! We all loved it and will definitely come back. Service was quick and friendly.

Colorful and bright atmosphere to chill at. It has a bar, tables in and outside and everyone was friendly. Street tacos, with lettuce, and the street corn on the cob, are excellent! Smacking and licking fingers is allowed. Will be ordering again soon.

These really are “crazy good” tacos. I can’t think of any time I’ve had better. My Travel to Tulum drink was perfect. Excellent street corn, beautiful presentation, and also tasted good.

We had the chipotle sweet tacos, the crispy tacos, and chips and salsa. The food was very flavorful. The atmosphere was nice. I am fan of the small two seater booths they have, and the seats are comfy. They also have a nice bar area and outdoor seating. The service was fast and courteous. This is a great addition to downtown Tupelo.

As an expat who’s been away from Mexico for over 8 years, it’s not easy finding authentic Mexican food that truly hits home — but Taco Loco in Tupelo, MS surprised me in the best way.
I ordered the lengua tacos, and the taste took me straight back to the street taquerías I grew up with. The meat was well-seasoned and tender, the tortillas were just right, and the fresh toppings — cilantro, onion, pickled onions, and a lime wedge — brought everything together perfectly.
What I appreciated most is that they didn’t try to “Americanize” the flavor. The salsa had real depth and heat, the presentation was clean and inviting, and the portions were solid.
Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Mexican street tacos. Whether you’re from Mexico or just love real food — this is the spot.

Did not experience what the reviews expressed. Optimistic but disappointed. Did not experience authentic Mexican cuisine. Meh food and service. Food was definitely served so very quickly in a plastic bowl. Will look for better food options in this area.

On 10/8/24 At 11:12 am. I entered with high hopes since they are rated 5 stars, immediately greated and told I could seat to take time to look over menu i ordered the pork belly tacos and the chicken bacon ranch burrito the tacos where very good the burrito was a little bit more of a burnt taste the service was questionable the second time around as it was a different cashier than the first greeting so service is not solid atmosphere was a little over bearing but it was busy all in all I would give it a solid 3 stars
