Being that there are not a lot of choices on this end of the Myrtle Beach strip, we decided to check out the onsite restaurant for breakfast. Got to restaurant and there was no one at the hostess stand. Could not identify an employee. Then noticed a woman standing by the kitchen entrance and asked her if she works there. She said she works in the office but helps out sometime. All the while she standing with a pencil and sheet of paper looking around the area. Finally after 15 minutes, someone comes around to seat us and give menus. The waitress approaches. She was the most pleasant of the experience but you could see the tiredness and frustration on her face. After taking our order we sit and drank coffee and water for a little over an hour to get our food. The made to order omelet was dry and appeared to have been sitting for a while and placed back in a warmer to heat up. The red potatoes had turned brown. That’s not all. The $6.00 side of 2 pancakes that were nicely garnished with powdered sugar were no larger in size than the circumference of an orange. Highly dissatisfied with the time to be acknowledged and seated as well as the food quality at the price being sold. During our wait, two people acting as managers came through from somewhere and spoke to someone at the hostess desk. Several people left after waiting for a while. This was a total let down in a such a nice hotel. Hopefully this is not the way it always is .If not then management should have take action. Oh, I know we are beachfront but the birds casually walking around in the restaurant we served faster than we were.

food was okay but drinks were super good! our server wasn’t super attentive but I believe she was the only one working so props to her! food did have a little of a wait since a golf club(?) was in. Did overhear a women and child wait 45 mins for their food though. The place itself was pretty cool and has a gift shop/ arcade in the next room.
Keep in mind this location is at the top of a hotel.

Visit June 2025. Food is good, great prices, and service was friendly and very courteous. We were sat right away the first visit (breakfast) but waited a good 5 mins the second time (dinner). There was no hostess. Atmosphere was super nice with the oceanfront view and indoor/outdoor concept. Will definitely stop by again if we happen to be back in the area.

I had a to-go order and there was a minor hiccup with my salad dressing and one of my Mac and cheese kids meals. Jeff behind the bar was super accommodating and did not make it hard for me to get what was missing. The food itself was great, my husband and I both got a “Shrimpin’ at The Beach” salad. All in all, if you’re staying at the resort DO give them a try! They have a bar down by the lazy river/pool area as well. I recommend the 32oz bucket spicy margarita!

Great food for a great price considering location. We got fried pickles, corn dogs for the kids and a Cajun chicken wrap. The portions were pretty big and the food has great flavor. Our server was extremely nice and was very happy to be there. The drinks are absolutely delicious, everything you want out of a frozen beach drink! They also have Rum buckets and you can take the drinks to the pool.

Ate here first day of our vacation at the hotel. Experience was just ok, nothing special.
Pretty long wait time to order, food also took a while to come out, not at a busy time with most tables empty.
Bacon burger was ok, burger patty was basic, could use some seasoning. The loaded nachos (Macho Nachos) were really good, the small size was enough for our group of 10.

While staying at the hotel, we had breakfast here all three mornings. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very delicious. Some of my group had coffee. While others had orange juice or sweet tea and water.

I got a long review. I was staying for a week last week at Crown Reef hotel. They have this restaurant there. The first time we went here our waitress was so rude. I got a $19 salad that was supposed to have all this stuff on it. It had cold chicken and no toppings which in the description there was supposed to be a lot of toppings . The lettuce wasn’t even cut. I’m not kidding. It was just full pieces of lettuce and cold chicken. My mother told the waitress and she didn’t say anything and walked away…. So I paid the expensive rabbit food even though I only ate the small cold chicken. Then the next time our morning waitress was just as rude ! We sat down ourselves since there was no signs and only one other person there. It’s fine if we were wrong to have sat down but last time they wanted us to seat ourselves? Very confusing. She passed by us saying “well just seat yourselves then” in a rude tone… whatever I guess. You might be wondering why we kept going back! We had vouchers that were only good for the places in the hotels and this was the restaurant here so we had to use them(not to mention all the other places were closed ) ! The LAST time we went there was the night before we left to go home. OMG was it a train wreck. I waited to be seated and all the employees looked at me but didn’t even say a word. The bartender was working and this one male server was doing all the table work while 2 female servers were giggling and doing nothing while he did everything. Anyway of like 10 min standing there I just picked a table and sat down. 40 min passed by and not a soul walks over. Finally someone comes (the male server who was working endlessly). I told him that all the other employees refused to come here to even say it’ll be a wait . He told me we would get a discount for the inconvenience. We all order our food. An hour and 30 min or so pass by. We finally get out food. (No one else was getting food either so people were pretty mad). I bite into my food and swallow. But I have this weird taste. I look down RAW CHICKEN. The whole thing was RAW! I have severe panic attacks and I went to school for food safety. I was so upset to may have caught food poisoning. We tell our waiter and the manager comes over and tells us he will give us 40% off and my moms meal and mine for free because hers took way longer then any of ours. Which I am sick btw I have been since it happened, I’m just now feeling better thank god. They bring out the bill. It was somewhere around $112! I was shocked! Our table wasn’t huge??? And they took drinks and meals off but it wasn’t shown on the bill at first? They did not take 40% off or anything for me waiting 40 min to be acknowledged. And having raw chicken. They brought it down to $70. We used the rest of our vouchers but they made me pay $35 still! I can’t believe I paid for them to serve me raw chicken! Even my mom felt sick after eating! I of course gave the server a tip because it wasn’t his fault and I told him it had nothing to do with him but the manager and the cook really believe someone should pay with how bad this whole thing was????? I really should of walked out (besides the servers tip) in Ohio we care about the safety of others in restaurants and I’ve been given free meals even when I didn’t ask (that’s not the point though. I’m happy to pay for food that I eat ) but I didnt get to eat and I cried so hard from panicking and feeling so gross after looking at the sandwich. I am so pissed I paid. DONT GET THE VOUCHERS AND THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! My experience is not the only bad one. This place has extreme safety issues!!!! And they want your money even when they put you in danger!!!! Employees are horrible and refuse service at 9 because they are ready to go home but service hours state 10pm for close. This restaurant should not be in this hotel as we pay good money to stay at the hotel and they offer this place as top restaurant around and both times going to this location has been horrible. Bring in something better.
