We were on a little couples’ getaway, wandering through northern Minnesota, when we discovered Loco through a quick Google search. With so many glowing reviews, we had to check it out—and we’re so glad we did! Housed in a beautifully repurposed old train station, Loco immediately charmed us. What a brilliant way to bring people together again in a space once built for connection. And the name? So clever!
The patio was inviting, the atmosphere peaceful, and the staff couldn’t have been sweeter or more knowledgeable. I ordered the maple butter chai (absolutely delicious), and my husband had the bananas foster coffee—such a treat! Our breakfast was just as amazing.
If we lived nearby, we’d definitely be regulars. The menu was full of tempting options, and as a loose tea fanatic, I was thrilled with their incredible selection.
Huge thanks to the Loco team for a truly memorable experience!

Coffee was good but could use a few better flavor options friendly service, cool location

I said better not more. Nothing beats good homemade flavors compared to artificial syrups. You could have 3 homemade flavors that could be better than all of your flavors more is not better

We tried the cold brew coffee flight, the hot latte flight and then the Minnesota Bull Dog (their spin on a Colorado Bull dog) which had cold brew, Coke, and sweet cream. Honestly? Iconic.
Tucked inside the historic Clock Tower at Northern Pacific Center, the space is full of rustic railroad charm, local art, relaxing vibes, and that fresh coffee aroma you wish you could bottle up. Bonus: they support local roasters and even have a cute boutique to browse while you sip. Come for the flights. Stay for the experience.

A delightful coffee haus with an eclectic mix of vintage funiture and an uplifting vibe focused on what’s really important in life: family & friends and good conversations over good coffee. I could’ve stayed all day!

Loco Espresso Coffee is a great spot for a quick, quality stop. They’re fast, the staff is always friendly, and the service is consistently solid. I usually order their Zingers (so good!), and their coffee is excellent as well. I haven’t tried the food yet, but I’ve heard great things. I also love that they offer punch cards, it’s a nice perk for regulars. The only thing that would make it even better is a drive-through for an easier stop on my way to work. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! So many options for drinks (coffee, teas, smoothies, energy drinks), as well as board games, take a book leave a book, bingo, and boutique. It’s a comfortable, inviting, family friendly atmosphere in a unique location. I could not ask for anything more in a coffee shop! If you haven’t visited yet, you really should!

I love this place! Their drinks are not too sweet like so many other places. You can taste the good espresso in your drink. I had a Banana Foster latte and loved it!

Egg bagel sandwich was fresh and tasty. Flight of seasonal coffees was a fun experience though a little pricey and one of the drinks flavor was not good so didn’t finish it. Was very busy on a Friday morning and no seats were available. Staff were friendly and professional. Store was a little disorganized.

I got a drip coffee here and it tasted so bad I ended up going to another place to get a cup that was drinkable. It was very light and acidic tasting. There were 4-5 people working and it wasn’t busy (it was an early Sunday morning) but all of the coffee self serve add ins like sugar etc were completely empty. They have non dairy oat milk but it is not certified GF if that is something you need. Staff was not sure about allergens, did allow me to look at the label which was helpful. If you like strong tasting coffee this probably isn’t the place for you.
