Good beer and food. The pimento pub dip and bison chili were very good. Service took a little long, but was overall good. I love Tangled Roots beer and food offering and the Lockport location did not disappoint.

Great place. Good food. Try the wagyu burger was very delicious. I didn’t have the onions. They have very decent fried. Had a Sieur de LaSalle lager. It was crisp and clean and had a rich taste. They have kids meals and someone has the chicken sandwich Halfway To Nashville. I had a sample and the chicken was beer most and delicious. The regular burger was delicious as well. I’ll go back.

We went here for my birthday dinner. We had the Chicken schnitzel and fish n chips. They were out of shrimp, so we couldn’t try the beer battered citrus siracha shrimp and got the pretzels. They were also out of fries, so we had to substitute tots. The food was good and the pineapple upside-down drink I got was delicious.
The reasons I gave 4 stars was for the service. Our waiter took our drink order, then disappeared
Someone else brought our drinks and then water. He passed us a couple of times and 15 minutes later we flagged him down to order an appetizer. Someone else brought that. Again we had to get his attention to order our dinner, which someone else brought. Normally our server tells us specials or what they’re out of. It was like pulling teeth to talk to him.He never stopped to ask if everything was good or we needed anything until we were almost done eating. He wasn’t friendlty at all. We asked for a box and the check. He passed us a few times before he took that. I could understand if they were really busy, but it was a Sunday not too long before closing.
We probably won’t go back.

I was with a group reservation this weekend and the waiters here were beyond wonderful. I heard him call our grandmother “ma’am” several times, and they constantly checked in on us. Kudos and thanks to the management at Lock & Mule who clearly have kept exceptional customer service alive.

We went agian today, 03.04.2026 again and food was very consistent. Chris our server was incredible! We will be back again. The chicken wings were terrific! My Vampire Tacos were Incredible. The best I have ever had!

Friendly staff, delicious drinks, nice atmosphere. We didn’t eat anything while here, but the giant pretzel looked good. We stopped in for a quick drink and to collect our cards for the city hunt. We will definitely have to stop in for a longer visit next time.

This is a great establishment on the main street of the quaint town of Lockport.
The wait staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. They have an excellent menu with a good range of choices.
Their beers are off the hook. Fantastic choices and great depth of flavor.
This time around I had the cease and desist burger which was huge and had perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend stopping there.

Food and beers were great! Service left a lot to be desired. Waited 90minutes to place our order. We did have appetizers but they were long gone before we ordered our meal. Had to ask three times for ketchup and mustard. By the time I got them, my burger was cold.

Overall: Lock & Mule has the potential to be a great spot, but my recent experience fell a little short.
Highlights:
Drinks: The pineapple cider sounds delicious!
Sides: The fries were nice and hot.

Service: My waiter, Diego, seemed very kind but unfortunately inattentive. It sounds like he might have been new, and hopefully with more experience, the service will improve.
Food: My French dip lacked the star of the dish – the meat! A skimpy portion can be a real disappointment.
Billing: Waiting longer for a corrected check than for the entire meal is frustrating.
