I rarely leave reviews but this place is REALLY unique. They have been making amazing pizza for as long as I can remember (25 years or more). My parents ordered from them regularly for years. When my mom passed away last year, our entire family was home for the services and we ordered from these guys. When I walked in to pick up our pizza, the entire staff immediately offered their condolences for my mom and said tonight the pizza was on them in honor of my mom. It was such a sincere gesture and I will remember it always. I tear up today just thinking about and these guys are first class. This is the place to spend your money if you are buying pizza in Lockport NY.

This was our first visit to Lock City Pizza, and it won’t be our last.
We decided to stay and enjoy our pizza at the restaurant and watch the food preparation.
The staff at Lock City Pizza were all very friendly and pleasant.

Lock City Pizza — My Hometown Favorite
I’ve had pizza from Athens to Oslo, from Las Vegas to New Hampshire and all points in between but nothing tops Lock City Pizza. This is my holy grail — the taste that shaped my childhood. I actually lived above their original shop on East Ave, and that smell of baking dough still sticks with me.
The name may have changed over the years, but the pizza hasn’t — same recipe, same perfection. Baked at 600°, the crust comes out crisp and chewy, just like I remember. One bite and I was right back home again. Whether you call it Lock City or Pontillo’s, it’s still the best pizza I’ve ever had — and always will be.
My rating is a 5 Star but the story goes way back when they were Pontillo’s on East Avenue, then Walnut St up in the city.
The menu is simple – you do one thing you do it right. Lock City Pizza does it right!
This is my all time favorite and nothing can ever change that. I’ve been around the world I’ve had pizza everywhere I’ve been. Pizza is very subjective but I’ve had three great pizzas. One in Athens Greece, one in Oslo, Norway and Lock City pizza. Whenever I get to make my way home this is a must stop because it is the best!

Besides the crust, this is outstanding pizza. I’m just more of a fan of crunchier, thinner crust but the flavor of the crust was still good. We got a pepperoni and mushroom. The mushrooms on the pizza were the winner. Done perfect and tasted amazing. Sauce was just right. Not to tangy, not too sweet and saltiness was perfect!

Four of us went there 20 minutes before closing after our 50th Lockport Senior High Reunion. The staff, I believe his name is David (plus other staff)couldn’t get over how entering we were and they accommodated us all laughing. BUT, we couldn’t convince them to let us eat it there. So the FIVE stars atmosphere was because of the fun we had with them while waiting for our pizza

This pizza is the best of the best. You have to get onions. The toppings are so good because the slice them super thin but add a lot.

I would have had more pictures but it’s never around long enough to take any. For all the locals out there, this place used to be called Pontillo’s Pizza. Now rebranded Lock City Pizza (many years ago… but will always be Pontillo’s to me. Its tasted the same since I can remember as a kid in the 1970’s. Every time I come back home to WNY I get AT LEAST ONE… so good. You can recognize the smell of them if you haven’t had one in a while. It’s the most amazing pizza I’ve ever had. Nothing will compare. I’ve been all over the world and I always search for a similar pie… none has been found. To the owner… never change this place, it is a candle in the window for every trip back to NY. You won’t be disappointed. Give it a try now!

Been eating the pizza here for the last 40-plus years, still taste the same, not for everyone but we love it. Wasn’t too thrilled about the price, the large, cheese, pepperoni and banana peppers, and 18 chicken wings cost $53. Seems a little high, maybe I’m out of touch LOL. Thankfully they have not changed the recipe, looking forward to next time.

This is a great little spot, we were very pleased with the customer service, cleanliness and they sure nailed the pizza and wings. The staff all were kind, informative of the Lockport area (we are visiting from out of town). Side note- cash only (it is listed on their site and clearly marked on the door and walls). The menu is simple, food was great and we look forward to going back again!
