My roommate and I had just moved to palmyra, I have been wanting to attend lock29 since I saw it. We finally decided to go. We entered she was staring at us with a dirty look on her face. We then proceeded to the bar to ask if food was still available since that’s all we wanted. She said nothing was on but she could start something. She gave us menus at the bar and then told us we can’t sit at the bar because she said “I know you’re not of age”. We moved to a table since we don’t care, but it was very rude to say that to us. Mind you we never asked for alcoholic drinks just for food. And we are both 20.
After we sat down and ordered food. She tried to set the food down but apparently the two waters were too close to each other to set it down and she refused to go over the waters so I tried to help her by grabbing my food and she wouldn’t let me. She grabbed it and pulled away. We only ordered fries and mozzarella sticks.
When we wanted to pay we stood up and went to the bar, my roommate had a card and wanted to pay, we didn’t realize it was cash only so I paid in cash. It was a $15 order and I used a $20. She then gave me my change and stared at me putting away my change. After she realized I put all my change away she then yelled over the music and other customers “stay home children don’t wanna tip just don’t come back”. As we walked out we yelled rude.
I am never coming back and it’s disappointing because I had just moved here and was excited to find somewhere to eventually become a regular once I turned 21.
*just because I’m not 21 doesn’t mean you have the right to treat me horribly, just because you used a fryer doesn’t mean you get a tip. A tip is based off the whole customer service. And just because I didn’t tip on a very small order plus already was receiving bad service doesn’t mean you get to call me a child and tell me to never come back*
Grill and fryers not on. Nothing prepped in a makeshift kitchen.
I’m very understanding from running restaurants, however, not having your cooking equipment turned on to serve the customer is a little questionable.
Too bad the place looked pretty cool but we had our 1 round and got up and left. We wouldn’t go back after that experience. Great way to go out of business……
Across the street down the alley the bartenders (and patrons) were all very friendly. Glad we found an alternative!
