The ambiance is fabulous. The live music really was very enjoyable. Singer/guitarist one man show. Our server was fabulous. I did not care for the oyster shooters. I’m expecting cocktail sauce to be spicy and it tasted closer to BBQ sauce than ketchup with horseradish.

Loved the blackberry oysters but the blue points were a bit different from many I’ve had in the past.

The lobster roll was a total fireworks display on my tongue, totally recommend. And the red velvet cake really scratched that itch.

Vodka martini extra dirty extra dry… needed way more olive juice but my server fixed it for me twice. Filthy dirty means hold the vermouth and gimme that olive juice, bartender!! It came out clear every time.

Appreciation to the valet right out front.

Best happy hour in Boca Raton. Great specials. We all tried the Crush drinks, orange was amazing, grapefruit and lemon were both very good. We had some fried pickles, 2 orders, and the $2 chef choice oysters you can’t beat, except on Tuesdays when they are $1. Both types of crab soup were great. The chicken wrap was definitely one of the best I had ever had. The grilled chicken was perfect with the avocado and greens, fantastic. The staff was so nice and attentive. Even Jeff, the manager, came by and chatted with us for a while. Thanks to everyone there working together to make it a great happy hour. Will definitely come back on Tuesday.

Loved this place in Boca Raton! My friend and I went here for happy hour and the deal is top notch. We ordered their petit charcuterie board to pair with our wines and it was the perfect portion before we headed out for dinner 🙂 outdoor seating was nice as we enjoyed our drinks and apps and our server was helpful.

Would recommend this place for a good time out with friends or your date!

Head to Boca Raton for Maryland crab cakes? Why not! Downtown in Mizner Park you’ll find a wealth of dining options, not the least of which is this bar/restaurant with live music, outdoor seating, and plenty of tasty food. These crab cakes are crab, not filler, the clams are tender, and the fish delish. Lovedd those cornbread hush puppies! Service was personable and we had a pleasant time sitting outside and people watching.

I want to share my honest feedback on our recent experience at Loch Bar tonight. We chose to dine there because we were attending a show at the Mizner amphitheater and didn’t want to move our vehicles from the shopping center. We had made reservations at both Kapow and Loch Bar, but now I regret not going to Kapow instead.

Although Loch Bar used to be a solid seafood restaurant and raw bar when we last visited four years ago, it seems to be resting on its laurels now and is still quite expensive compared to other seafood restaurants in the area. We ordered a few appetizers, including the Oysters Rockefeller. I remember enjoying it four years ago, so I ordered it again. However, the oysters were very skimpy and lacked the spinach that they were supposed to have. We sent them back, and they returned with a little bit more spinach, but the ones from four years ago looked better. I have a photo for comparison. The server claimed they were Apalachicola oysters from Florida.

I also ordered a poke tuna appetizer, but the texture was unpleasing due to the way it was cut into large chunks. We ordered the crab deviled toast, but it was not as impressive as we had hoped. It was more of a crab salad on top of toast points. The only dish that we all enjoyed was the special scallops with bacon jam. I could have easily eaten two or three plates of those if I had known the other dishes would be disappointing.

Rachel liked her grouper sandwich, and James seemed to enjoy his fish. However, the fries that came with both dishes were not crispy and appeared to be reheated. We sent them back and got better fries.

Given the restaurant’s status in Mizner, which is Boca’s premier shopping and dining plaza, I expected more from Loch Bar. We visited on a Sunday night at 8 PM, and the restaurant was about 90% empty. More attention could have been paid during slower hours. It’s worth noting that all of our complaints are regarding the food from the back of the house, not the waitstaff. Despite the manager’s honest attempt to apologize (the oyster app and two drinks were comped), I was still disappointed with the overall experience.

Blown away. Best meal I have had in several years. Every bite was amazing….no lie. We were at Mizner for a show, and everything was pretty much packed. We were lucky enough to get a table and Loch Bar and man what an experience! From the drinks to the food, this place was perfection. Seriously.

We ordered some drinks, a pear martini that was really refreshing, and a tequila old fashioned that was smoky, spicy, and opened the eyes of this bourbon loyalist to new cocktail possibilities.

What ended up on the table for the four of us to share was the Tuna Poke (the dressing, oh my god..), an order of the hushpuppies (crispy and served with delicious remoulade), oysters Rockefeller (a classic), a perfect shrimp cocktail (u10 shrimp were amazing), a couple cups of the Maryland Crab soup (silky broth and big flavor), a lobster roll (buttery perfection, lobster wasn’t overdressed!!), and a Crab Grilled Cheese.

So I saved the Crab Grilled Cheese for last because it can only be described as ridiculous. It was so indulgent with several kinds of cheese, bacon, crabmeat, and grilled tomatoes on the most amazing toasted bread. Arguably one of the best sandwiches I have ever had, anywhere. Run to this place to have one, and make the time of you don’t have it. It’s that freaking good.

Service by Hailey was kind and attentive. She was very friendly and helpful as we had to get to a show, the meal was paced perfectly.

Can’t wait to go back!!

HOLY COW I FORGOT THE DEVILED EGGS!! Truffle and bacon deviled eggs. Let that resonate. Literally buying the stuff to make them today so I can have them again.

Another Gem of a restaurant/bar located in the middle of Mizner Park with Happy Hour daily from 3pm to 7pm. The Happy Hour Menu is pretty extensive with some good to great choices. You won’t find oysters cheaper anywhere at $2 each. Great Conch Fritters and pretty good Caesar Salad with anchovies available. Stone Crabs available in season and the best chocolate cake I have had in a long time. Danny gave us great service. I will definitely be a regular here.

Oysters were pretty good, waitresses are very beautiful. The Sirloin steak wasn’t too enjoyable though, unfortunately. This was my second time coming, first time the oysters were yet again really good! Wish they had more varieties of hot sauce. Thank you!

Seafood-focused menu with a good amount of variety. Went for brunch and had the potato skins with caviar, lobster roll, and my husband had the crab madame. Everything was excellent!

The potato skins were a fun dish that included a creamy sauce to offset the saltiness. The brine of the caviar was great with the potato. My lobster roll was good, I wish the spring mix I’d opted for on the side had some tomato or something, but I guess I should’ve asked. The dish was still very good and I’d absolutely order it again, maybe with a different side though. There was a good amount of lobster and even the bread was delicious.

Tried a bite of my husband’s crab madame and it was beautifully rich. The crispy potatoes on the side were excellent as well.

Got their black Manhattan and a slush. The Manhattan was smooth and balanced. Slush was super refreshing!

This spot is upscale but still casual enough for wearing a tshirt during brunch. Looking forward to going back for dinner and trying their fried chicken that I’ve heard so many good things about.

Went with friends on a Friday night before going to The Studio at Mizner Park for a concert. Got there at 5:45 and the place was quiet but by 6:30, it was packed.

I ordered the Sunset Dinner, great deal, choice of soup or salad, entrée, dessert, and a glass of wine. Only $12 more than just ordering the entrée. Started with the Maryland Crab Soup , jumbo lump crab meat, mixed vegetable medley, and fingerling potato in an aromatic broth. Very flavorful and a nice hint of spice. For the main. tried the Florida Black Grouper over potato hash with a sweet corn puree , micro arugula salad, and chili oil. Very nice dish and a nice portion.

My wife thinks they have the BEST crab cakes, can either 1 or 2 and comes with French fries. Great.

For dessert, I tried the Key Lime Pana Cotta with toasted coconut granola and my wife ordered the Red Velvet Cake with whipped cream and raspberry glaze , both were very good.

The sunset dinner is a great deal.

To get a 5* rating, they need staff to know who ordered what without asking and not clearing the table until everyone is finished.
