Oh wow! This authentic Italian restaurant, with its passion, transported me to Italy! First, let me start with the atmosphere. Everyone is smiling and incredibly kind. Juliano is such a wonderful and lovely man that I didn’t want to leave this wonderful place. Now, the food. It’s truly worth eating there. The pizza is authentic and delicious, and every meal is excellent. I’ve been there many times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend it. Lovely place ❤️❤️❤️

Highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant! Amazing pizza! Very friendly staff. Beautiful location in courtyard. You can also seat outside in covered area. In the vicinity of beautiful Cathedral.

Tucked away in the side streets of St Albans, this family run Italian is a great find. The food is full of flavour, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Feels really authentic, and you can tell a lot of care goes into everything. Definitely worth a visit if you’re after proper Italian food.

A gem tucked away in a little quaint cobbled alley. Lovely food. Service was even better. Mr Ferrari was such a delight to talk to, I asked him to decide for me based on what I liked and I was not disappointed. Very delicious authentic Italian. Great place to impress and will definitely be back

Lovely hidden gem restaurant down George Street. We were lucky enough to eat outside as it wasn’t too busy and it was a warm evening. The Italian waiter was great and took real pride in his job. I went for the meatwork pizza which was so good. I’m looking forward to trying one of the pasta dishes next time.

Terrible customer service. Booked a table to celebrate my friends birthday as all the reviews praised the food. I wouldn’t know why because we were turned away AT THE DOOR from our CONFIRMED booking. Absolutely no apology what so ever, and instead we were laughed at. Apparently it’s amusing turning paying customers away from their pre-booked meal because they decided a bigger group would be more suitable for their business. A joke of a service. Here’s some business advice, if you’re not doing to stand by your bookings, get rid of the booking system.

For anyone reading this thinking “should I go here”, absolutely not. I would, however, go to the lovely Thai place across the road called “Thai Rack”. They welcomed us in with open arms, attended to us all night making sure we felt comfortable and welcome, and the food was incredible. Locanda Bagutta, take notes.

Disappointing Experience

I recently visited this Italian restaurant with expectations of a cozy atmosphere and authentic cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. The food lacked the flavor and freshness I associate with good Italian cooking. While the menu offered a decent variety, the execution didn’t match the price point — which was slightly on the expensive side for what was served.

It’s a shame, because the ambiance had potential and the location is convenient. I hope the restaurant takes feedback seriously and improves both the quality and value of their offerings.

The beef and spinach risotto dish, which admittedly sounded like a bold choice, is actually a truly revolting mix, terrible in all aspects with the overcooked beef really rubbing it in. Ordered a glass of red wine which was stale, the bottle had been open for way too long. Service was polite but the decoration and menus look tired and the pricing corresponds to a higher level of investment than what was on show. A lot of reviews speak of a family-run atmosphere, could see or feel nothing of the kind. Given the solid competition within the city centre alone, I’d be surprised if they last another year.

My friends and I have been going here every week for the past three years, and it has been a highlight of our week throughout. The pizza is amazing, we recommend the meatwork or the pepperoni. The people working there are incredibly friendly and have taken good care of us, specially Giuliano for helping to organise it and take care of us and Joe for making the best pizzas of all time. I would recommend anybody to go if they are in St Albans as it is a 10/10
