Easygoing restaurant in a strip mall dishing up comfort food, from wings to shrimp-&-grits.

My fiancée and I had just gotten our marriage license and decided to take a random road and see where it led us to grab a bite to eat. We ended up coming across Localz Bistro, and it immediately caught our attention from the outside.
Walking in, the atmosphere felt very homey and welcoming, and we were seated right away with no wait. Our waiter, Bryson, was absolutely amazing—super attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and consistently checked in on us and refilled our drinks without us ever needing to ask.
I ordered the 16 oz steak, and it was honestly really good. The sauce was a little different than expected, but still very tasty. My fiancée got the Cajun Alfredo and absolutely loved it. To finish things off, we shared the New York cheesecake, and it was delicious.
Overall, the food was great, the atmosphere was amazing, and Bryson’s customer service truly stood out. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well. We’re really glad we stumbled upon this place and will definitely be back.

Localz Bistro has a fantastic reputation and I was very eager to try the food. I was stoked to see the menu was stacked with some Southern comforts along with some unique twists on fan favorites.
I was hoping to try the Jambalaya, but it’s a dinner-only item. There are a few of those so you’ll want to plan your visit appropriately. I ordered the Fried Shrimp Po Boy and Chef Chicken Sandwich. The Po Boy is good, but made for a tourist, not a southerner. I like my Po Boys to be loaded with so much shrimp I struggle to close the face of the bread – the sandwich stays pretty neat here. Good, but I won’t order again. The Chef Chicken Sandwich is very good, especially with the jalapeno aioli. I’d order again. The Truffle Frites are good, but not worth it if you plan on getting fries as a side. And I’m not a fan of mac-n-cheese, but my table told me the Hatch Mac-N-Cheese is worthy of ordering. I also tried the Orange Tomato Bisque, and the hint of orange really adds a unique taste. It’s a win for many, but not for me. The Bread Pudding is really good, but if you like bread pudding, you’ll love this one. If you don’t (I don’t), it’s not bad, but won’t be the one to change your feelings on the dessert as a whole.
The service was superb. Zoey took incredible care of us, gave very helpful suggestions, and made it an overall great experience. And that goes for all the service staff here. Everyone was helpful and “chill.” I may not have loved the food, but I loved the service.
The atmosphere and vibe of this restaurant is great. There’s a variety of seating options between indoor or outdoor, and any restaurant bringing tastes of the South to Utah is a winner in my book. The prices are steeper than the satisfaction they provide, but portion sizes are appropriate so it’s a style as opposed to feeling robbed. Localz Bistro ultimately isn’t my jam, but I will come back for dinner to try that Jambalaya and update my review should it prove life-altering.

My boyfriend and I come here often and love the atmosphere. Our favorite server is Bob and he makes every meal fun and friendly. Delicious food and many options for different dietary needs! Only gripe is I wish they were open longer 🙂 Highly recommend.

Initially, the menu may seem eclectic, but once you delve into their story and taste the food, everything falls into place and makes perfect sense. We’ve sampled nearly everything on their menu, and our favorites now include the red beans and rice, a cup of gumbo, and the steak sandwich. For dessert, we often take home a piece of bread pudding. The food is exceptional, the staff is outstanding, and the ambiance is incredibly relaxed. You should absolutely give it a try.

We had David as our server and Preston as our runner; what a friendly, dynamic pair of ambassadors to present the hard work of a fantastic kitchen crew! Food is always on point. Orange tomato bisque is always a sneaky treat, poutine fries a must. Burger is a slam dunk every time. Our son loved the fried chicken and collard greens- collard greens done right make me happy! Treat the staff well here; they care about the food and they care about you!

So yummy!!! I was hesitant to try this restaurant because I don’t love fish food, and a lot of their menu has fish items. But decided to give it a try anyway. I got the chicken sandwich and it was incredible! It rivals all the trendy chicken restaurants that are popping up these days. The breading was so light and crispy and chicken was tender and moist. The bun was toasted and buttery. It was so so so good! I will be back just for the chicken sandwich. My husband and I shared poutine, which was also incredible. My husband got fish and chips, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress was attentive. Food came out quickly. When we arrived, they said the wait time would be 40-45 minutes, but we only ended up waiting about 20 minutes.

Really good place for couples or families. Our server was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. The food… uniquely fresh and over the top delicious. We started with Asian wings and a cup of gumbo. My wife had the Pops Chop and I had the Mahi-Mahi. Everything was served hot and quick. Another big win is the service, our table was kept clean and everybody that came around was smiling and happy to make sure we had everything we needed without being too intrusive. I highly recommend Localz, you won’t be disappointed!!
