That said, we did go a week after opening day. lol. And we don’t have kids of our own, so they get a pass on that from me. Excited to have a new place to try! They just have a few kinks to work out. Hoping they do that sooner than later. The bar staff seemed more interested in assessing the bar, learning how it works, etc, than dealing with people waiting for a table. And some people were on their phones… you know, that sort of thing. It’s a real bummer too, the place can be great! It’s almost there, but not yet. The 4 star is a bit generous. But I am optimistic and will update as time goes on.
Parking is in the rear. But do yourself a favor, stay in the bar area until they can replace those crazy bright cool hue lights in the ceiling of the dining area.
Update after the third visit:
Kinda bummed. It’s still crazy expensive, yes, you’ll get charged a dollar for a lime wedge. lol. Some of the cocktails are just very poorly constructed and over 11 dollars. In Belgium. Cmon. The staff is all children that you can tell will only be there a very short time. In three visits, never saw the same server. Every time something is wrong. Ever have ice cold cheese wiz? Yeah… I would have complained or at least mentioned it, but we never saw the waitress again. The HOT air blasting on our heads was hotter than anything on the plates. I still say stay out of the dining room. It just needs a lot of work, everything about it is uncomfortable. Sitting at the bar might be a fun date night spot? But I’ve never been with a group smaller than 4, and the bar area is pretty small and usually full. Pretty bummed. Doubtful we’ll be back. I don’t see this place surviving long term, or even pretty short term. The most expensive burgers and drinks around better be the best, sadly, they’re nowhere close to best.
My husband ordered a martini and requested a blue cheese olive. They informed him they did not have them but could give him blue cheese and olives to make his own…!? Odd for an establishment boasting amazing craft cocktails. They were not overly busy either. For a $10 drink at a cocktail bar, you’d think they could have fixed this common martini garnish.
Food was just OK this time. My chicken sandwich tasted kind of plain. My daughter liked her entrée of fish tacos but she likes simple foods. They also forgot the side of mayo we requested. Our server asked about getting my husband another cocktail, but didn’t take notice that my soft drink glass was empty before dashing off.
I do think that we would return. There are just some improvements in service and quality that we would like to see.
The cheese curds were good & onion rings.
Our food did come out quickly. Server was attentive.
Lighting was weird in dining area, was cold even with my sweater on, mushroom swiss burger had no flavor and was way over cooked for what I ordered, old fashion didn’t taste as I expect, husband said his mojito was very watery.
I’m hoping if we try it again we’ll have a better experience, it’s a cute place and I really did want to like it!
Service was horrific and there was only a couple tables in the place.
Too bad a side salad isnt offered instead of only fried sides.
Not sure I’d return
