Bartender did her job well but I’m going to elaborate a little to give you my perspective.
Also for the cocktail connoisseur, you’ll understand what I mean when I explain.
I Ordered a Blood Orange Margarita with salt. The drink was made to order in the order of the patrons. She made mine within 4-5mins – great!!! Love the speed.
I love the lime that comes with the margarita’s because I love citrusy drinks obviously and I usually squeeze my lime into the cocktail. The lime I received was so dried out I could barely wet the napkin. Okay I’ll let this one slide not a big deal. I ordered another one. This time the bartender didn’t salt the rim and gave another dried out lime.
I politely asked her when she had time to please salt my glass without having to mix another drink. So I ordered my last one which makes it the 3rd drink and still no fresh lime!!!!
It’s not a deal breaker for something very minor! For me though, I don’t mind paying a lot for delicious cocktails but I expect the pure basic necessities for the perfect drink.
For the overall place, it’s such a cute little hangout for obviously “local people “ and such a quaint atmosphere.
Location is awesome since it right down the street from my house.
Staff was absolutely sweet and did her job well. I’m letting the garnish slide.
Service was excellent. We were there between 5:30-7pm so it wasn’t too busy. The tables and bars were all full but they do have a couch and back room seating that was open.
Food we did not order. I noticed that there was a prep room next to the drink fridge. I didn’t see a menu but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have it.
Cocktail and tap menu had a good amount of selection to try.
Prices per drinks I thought was reasonable.
Cleanliness was good especially in the women’s bathroom.
Overall my husband and I enjoyed it and would definitely go back.
1 beer as long as it’s 64oz growler!
A menu of fries, pub grub type foods is available. The portion of fries is obscene and a meal in itself.
There was live music the night I came in. It was loud enough to sing along, but not so much you had to scream to have a conversation.
The only criticism is that I think I asked more for a refill than I was offered a refill. The glass is empty next to a stack of cash. Let’s make a trade!
The cocktail list is massive. That can sometimes be a bad thing as quality varies from bartender to bartender.
Update. Now that I have been to local tap a few times. I have experienced the same issue both times. That issue is forgetting my food. So twice now I ordered the same thing, cheesesteak egg rolls, and I was going to order more food a short time later. I understand places get busy but this place isn’t in the first year. These bugs should be worked out. Not to mention I waited probably 15 minutes to get my first drink as well since the groups kept getting assisted first, even the children sitting at the bar. I’d say either stick with the food in the shopping center or get a food truck there which you had but after I ordered my food. Nothing on the menu should take more than 15 minutes to come out even when busy. Due to having the same issue twice in a row now, it’s safe to say my original review doesn’t hold up. Still a cool spot but needs some work.
He’s only been working there 3 months but he is such a solid employee! He made our first trip to Local Tap a 11/10 and I absolutely will be coming back.
We came with a group and he made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time.
The drinks are great, and the FRIES!
