They rarely seem to have enough servers or bar backs…. but the location, vibe, music and friendly staff make up for the mild frustration of having to wait. 🙂 All smiles and thumbs up.
Listen, when they said this place was all about the experience, they weren’t kidding. The fish and chips and bang bang shrimp?
Sure, they tasted fine in the moment—serviceable, even—but the real adventure started about 30 minutes post-meal when my wife and I embarked on an intimate, synchronized porcelain meditation session that’s still ongoing.
Talk about a lasting impression. Most restaurants just fill your stomach; these folks really commit to the full digestive narrative arc. Very immersive. Very authentic. You really feel something, you know?
The atmosphere was actually great— coastal vibes —which almost makes you forget that our server seemed to be practicing the art of selective invisibility.
At $115 for two (yes, that included two drinks and an app), I’d say we definitely paid for an experience. Just maybe not the one advertised. But hey, if you’re looking to really connect with your bathroom on a spiritual level while questioning your life choices, this place delivers.
Would recommend if you have nowhere to be for the next 24-48 hours and enjoy bonding activities with your significant other.
[Edit to reply from owner: I take my reviews very seriously, as you may have guessed. We selectively tried our leftovers and it was definitely the shrimp that had issues as we could reliably replicate our bathroom time.
Cost – yes, $115 is all-in. There’s no other way from a guest perspective to state it any other way. If we’re out $115, then it would be deceptive to just state the food price. Especially if you’re automatically (also) suggesting 25% tip on an automated device while the waiter is watching what tip you give – may not be intended, but this is a guilt trip that I just won’t condone – and my wife falls easier for that than I do. So, this time, it was my wife, paying and the amount reflected that. We’ll come back as we like your location, but we’ll avoid the shrimp. Make sense?]
They said live music was at 6pm the band started playing music at 715 played one song & didn’t play again until 45 minutes later & that was It.
We did enjoy the beans bags, the swings & sand toys for the kids are great thought.
It was good food but didn’t make me say ” we gotta go back ” which is a bummer it’s a beautiful spot on the water & has potential.
