We came here for my boyfriend’s birthday and we both loved it! It’s a family business and the staff were wonderful! Their food had great portions for the price and it tasted delicious! They serve breakfast and lunch as well as some dessert/pastry items! This place is worth a try!

Local Loaf is an absolute gem. The food was outstanding, and the steak and eggs were cooked to perfection—flavorful, hearty, and exactly what you want from a top-tier brunch dish. Pairing it with a mango mimosa was the perfect choice; refreshing, smooth, and just the right balance of sweet and bright.

What really sets Local Loaf apart is the neighborhood feel. It’s welcoming, relaxed, and the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. The outdoor seating only adds to that experience—comfortable, inviting, and perfect for a laid-back meal.

This is easily one of the best spots around and a place I’d recommend to anyone. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

We sat outside for Sunday brunch around 1:30 pm. There was a ~35 minute wait for food, which we were told about before ordering.

I got the Bubble & Squeak and it was delicious! My husband got a breakfast sandwich and he enjoyed his as well! I see some other reviews mentioned seasoning — ours was perfectly seasoned.

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere and will be back!

We both got the shrimp and grits, personally I found them to be too salty and oily for my taste. I also found the restroom door to be an anxious person’s worst nightmare since it is partially see through so someone can tell if someone is on the toilet… but the service was spectacular and the prices were reasonable.

Great little mom and pop place tucked away in NODA. Sammie selections for everyone, and different other offerings. The Cuban was great, sweet and salty. The Italian was also comforting, but their battered fries are absolutely a REASON to go! Prices are good for CLT. Try to eat outside and people watch aswell!

Came from UNC Charlotte to check this one out, a bit of a walk from the train station and not the best part of town but once you get here it’s super nice cute and abundant outdoor seating. Jay was great at the front and my chicken and waffles were amazing. Two dollar large cookies were a welcome treat and bonus.

A wrong turn took to this very amazing place with great hospitality and food.
We got the avocado toast, which was a unique approach with new ingredients that combine very well, and the Cuban sandwich, which was my favorite one hands down.

Fun neighborhood local spot. Eclectic and delicious menu by chef Adam. Good wines to choose from. Had them cater a graduation party, all the guests really loved the food.

We stopped by today and the shop was actually closed for Thanksgiving, yet the owner came out, offered us fresh coffee, and even gave my kids a homemade loaf of bread. It was one of the kindest, most unexpected gestures.

He was so generous, so genuine, and it just confirmed what an amazing local spot this is. If we lived closer, this would 100% be our family’s go-to coffee shop.

Such a warm, welcoming place — absolutely worth visiting if you’re in the area. Highly recommend!

Got the dinner rolls and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Rolls were average but the bread was dry. Great place to sip wine and explore the menu. Has nice outside seating and a back patio area. Has a smaller indoor seating area. Diverse food selection so I’m sure you can find something you like
