I had a very nice time in local grounds. Lily was in the kitchen making my buffalo chicken wrap, it was very tasty, thank you Lily, I later came for a açai bowl which was fantastic, fruit and peanut butter really make the trick, I loved it and would have it again.
The person to greet me was Zuly, she does an amazing work and is very kind, I was not sure what to get and she introduced me to the chai world, she made some recommendations which I took and never will regret. From now all I’m drinking is chai, that drink was way above exceeding expectations. I think she may be a world class barista.
The one thing I did not like was that everything is served in one use containers or wrapped in paper to take out. Even if you are eating in the restaurant.
They serve a lot of people from cruises so it’s kinda understandable but there should be more eco-friendly and more comfortable options for eating inside.

Cute local coffee shop and atmosphere! It’s a little chic/rustic inside, and there’s a decent amount of drink and food options.
The service was a little slower, but it wasn’t unreasonable. Maybe 5 minutes for a few items we ordered. The attendant was nice though.
And the food and drink items are very good, and for decent prices. The coconut pineapple smoothie was delicious!

Great little coffee shop near the tourist attractions in Ketchikan. Had a mocha and drip coffee plus an apple cinnamon scone. Food and drink were good. Service was excellent. Got some ideas for places to stop at. Great little find!!!

Did not like the customer service, when asked how much the hoodies were No tags or prices on the hoodies. First was told $45.00 then I wasn’t going to buy them at that price. Then she says oh those are $35.00 each. I purchased two. But when I was looking the hoodies are way up on the windows edge out of reach. The cashier didn’t even bother to help ( no customers were in the building) I paid by card and she gave me “no receipt) Thank goodness that my bank notifies me every time there is a transaction. I will not buy from there anymore. Sad transaction!

We had breakfast at Local Grounds after being on a cruise ship for several days and it was the change of pace we all needed! The breakfast burritos and latte were a highlight!!

My favorite coffee from our Port visits. They like it STRONG in Alaska. You’ve been warned!

Just bad. I found their sign out front particularly ironic given the staff all had terrible attitudes. They got 2 out of our 5 drink orders wrong and when we asked them to fix them, they gave us attitude. Another coffee was cold and the other took 20 minutes to be ready. Other customers were also frustrated and waiting 20+ minutes for their orders. Not to mention the coffee was a solid 4/10. Take your business elsewhere.

Lovely place, nice coffee. It’s really nice to be able to go to the local coffee shop and not worry about anything. Tables were nice, I was able to sit and get some things I needed to get done, done. My only complaint is that you have to pay for the Wi-Fi. Other than that it was excellent, so still 5 stars overall.

Fun little coffee shop located in downtown Ketchikan, Alaska. Don’t mind the wait, it’s worth it for the coffee. They do have plenty of seating upstairs if needed with excellent service. Local Grounds also serves food for breakfast and lunch. Try this place out if you need some caffeine!!
