My husband & I wanted to try something different. We drove from Chattanooga to Ooltewah to try the Local Goat. He had bison Meatloaf w/baked potato, I had crab cake blt sandwich w/fries, my sister in law had the fish and fries. First we started off with the fried deviled eggs, which tasted great and presented very well. All of our food was really good. Our favorite was the crab cake blt sandwich. It was very good. Our server, Faith, was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Chris, the manager stopped by our table as well, he was friendly. I recommend you giving The Local Goat a try. It is definitely worth it.

Stopped here for dinner on the way home from FL. We are here probably every 1-2 months. They have a good menu with various items. I had a burger and my wife had the grilled salmon. The food presented well and it was served hot.
Our waitress was very nice and attentive.
We did not have to wait for a table as it was after peak hours. The restaurant is clean with a casual atmosphere.

We founded this place on the way home to Michigan, from Florida.Ordered the Elvis Burger. Who would guess bananas would taste great on a burger. I added some jalapeños to it after a couple bites. Thought heat added a perfect kick. The Fondue Cheese was Great . Wife had a black and blue bison burger .. Which she loved also. We ended the night with slice of peanut butter pie..

Fried eggs were a hit! Vegan burger was delicious. Waitress was amazing. We were seated immediately. Food came out in a timely manner. Drinks were good! Valentine’s Day was a hit!

We honestly tried to give The Local Goat another chance, but all visits were disappointing in the exact same way. On our first visit, my husband’s steak came out nearly raw even though he ordered medium rare. We chalked it up to maybe just their interpretation of steak doneness and decided to try again.
Last night we returned and ordered a medium steak and for $38, what we received was unacceptable. It was full of fat, poorly cooked, and nowhere near the temperature we asked for. At that price point, consistency and quality should be a given.
I will say the staff is always amazing friendly, attentive, and the only reason we even came back for a fourth try. But whoever is working the grill seriously needs to go back to cooking school, because the execution is just not there.
Unfortunately, after four strikes, we’ll be sticking with LongHorn from now on.

Found this place via Google maps traveling through TN. The reviews looked great, so we decided to stop for lunch. SO glad we did. Now I just wish there were one closer to home! The host was welcoming, the atmosphere was inviting and not loud. The waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was delicious! The fried green tomatoes were a hit. The bison burger was good, but maybe slightly dry (I ordered medium). Everyone at the table kept raving about about how good the French fries and house made ketchup were. They make everything from scratch, even the syrups at the bar. Definitely making this a travel stop.

Everything on the menue is fantastic, excelent selection of craft beers and the stff was very personable. After a couple of visits they knew us by name and treated us like family. Highly recomend the buffalo meatloaf but come hungry! Portions are exceptional.

Came off the road tired and worn. The waitress was so very kind and patient and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing. We had the shrimp bisque and Wow….wonderful! Great place.

Stopped by for the first time for dinner and i’m happy we did . Overall 10/10 experience . We ordered a cheeseburger and a fettuccine dish. The food was delivered hot and was very flavorful with large portions. The highlight of our visit was our server Kyla. She offered a warm and genuine smile from the moment we sat down to the time we left. She was very attentive to our needs and provided fast and efficient service . I will definitely visit this location again.
