We had a great experience at The Lobster Pot in Siesta Key Village. We were able to be seated right away. They have a small bar and they serve beer and wine. We ordered the baked “stuffed lobster dutchess” and the “lazy dutchess” that each came with two sides. Both were delicious but lazy dutchess was my preference. Market price this night was around $43-ish for each. Very reasonable for the size of the lobster with sides. Cornbread was delivered before the meal. All together this was plenty of food and I’m glad we passed on any appetizers. The staff is very friendly and even put lobster bibs on us. The atmosphere is okay, but the food is why you go there. It may be more challenging to get a table in season and parking is hit or miss. We will be back for more lobster soon.

Handfulls of Crabfulls!! Best Lobster Bisque with Heaps of Crab on top! Fresh fall apart, hint of sweet, melt in your mouth cornbread served upon arrival with real butter. Shrimp was tasty too but definitely be back for your bisque. Atmosphere was nice too. If you come this time of the year, there’s no waiting!

The food was very good too! We had lobster bisque, clam chowder, lobster, catch of the day with mash potatoes, Alfredo pasta with chicken and one more meal, everything was very tasty and nicely presented.

Great food and fresh flavors. The only thing was it’s hard to have a conversation because it’s a bit loud. But hey .. people being loud because they have a great time enjoying the food and being passionate. So I definitely going back there.

We love this beach culture sea shanty of a restaurant. It has tons of atmosphere without a hint of tackiness. The beach food, particularly the hot or cold lobster roll, is a delight. The sides are also delicious.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge.

Everything was amazing!! We had the snow crab, which tasted extremely fresh and good. I had the lobster alfredo, which was SOOOOO good! Tasty, and had lots of lobster. Our server was also very nice, kind and attentive. I will definitely return next time we are in Siesta Key.

We had a great dinner experience. Arrived early enough on a Friday to beat the crowd, but it filled up fairly quickly. The Village is a nice area to visit near the awesome Siesta Key beach. The food was good. My wife raved about her Salmon and pasta dish. My only constructive feedback would be that the beans were a bit boring. Otherwise, all good! Carlos was our waiter and was very professional and attentive. We’d definitely return when in the area.

We had the fish tacos for lunch here and they were awesome. Huge chunks of fish with excellent sauce. Could be the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Maybe you ought to stop here and tell me what you think.

I initially was not thinking this was the type of place I’d want to eat. I thought it looked like a tourist trap. We found out it was Portuguese owned and looked up reviews and decided we needed to give it a try. Two meals later we were very happy. Sabrina, our first night was STELLAR. Accommodating and helpful in EVERY way to ensure our food needs were met. We actually had two dinners and plan to go back again before our trip ends soon. The ROCK STAR of the menu (so far) was the Seafood Portuguese—one of the best dishes I’ve ever had—so flavorful, so many goodies in eat–Lobster, Clams, Shrimp, Mussels, awesome broth, linguini. Nothing short of spectacular.
Every table that we saw with a lobster boil or similar, or pasta, everything looked amazing. The corn bread is DELICIOUS. This is not a fancy place, you are not coming for luxury. But if you want darn good home cooked Portuguese style seafood specializing in boils, lobster, and as mentioned the Seafood Portuguese–you will NOT go wrong. Also, for the price, it is really VERY generous in what you get. It’s the reason it will be 3 of our 8 meals during our holiday vacation. The fish dinners–Mahi, or Haddock, or others with two sides are very reasonable for approx $22-$24. THANK YOU!
