I have to admit — hands down, this place is a true feast of flavors. We were the very first customers, and knowing how likely it is that you need an advance reservation to get a seat, we were very lucky to find a spot.
The interior is wonderfully cozy, with the warm feel of a small, family-owned restaurant. The ambience is calm, quiet, and perfect for relaxed conversation while enjoying a meal. Our goal was to try — you guessed it — mussels. And what a choice that turned out to be! In Belgium, mussels are found on almost every corner, which made the idea of trying them in such a charming place even more intriguing.
Alongside the mussels, we also ordered fresh oysters to taste a bit of the North Sea — and I have to say, wow. They were incredibly fresh, with a light, clean flavor that truly captured the sea itself. Everything was beautifully prepared by the chef and presented with genuine artistry. The chef himself was polite and humble, with no trace of arrogance, which made the experience even more pleasant.
And the mussels — the main dish — were absolutely top-notch. The best I’ve ever had, even compared to other places known for them. I even finished all the broth, and with a slice of bread soaking in it, it was pure gourmet heaven.
Altogether, the rich and layered flavors, freshness, skillful preparation, warm and sympathetic service, and cozy atmosphere make this a place to remember for life.

We got an outstanding mixed plate. The chef explained the details to us when he passed by for a break.
Unfortunately the service was a bit unnecessarily arch – giving us the eyebrow when we decided to move to a more quiet table because there was a louder group right next to us. Shouldn’t be a big deal in a decent place 🙂

Had a lovely dinner here with my husband on a bit of a whim. I went looking on Google for high-rated seafood, and this place came up. I did reserve through Google, just to be safe, but there seemed to be plenty of tables.
Both my husband and I ordered the grilled lobster with herb butter and fries. We loved both! The service was exceptional and our meal was delivered by the chef himself.
We would definitely recommend this place for a delicious, romantic dinner!

We were deciding where to have dinner in Brugge and came across the Lobster Pot. Looked to the menu and saw the lobster menu. Interesting, so we decided to go there and to eat grilled lobsters. They were well prepared and tasted great. We spoke afterwards with the chef, since we were wondering where the lobster’s came from. Well they were from Ireland.

We arrived after peak hours in the afternoon when it was nice and quiet. A small complimentary starter with salmon and mackerel, as well as bread and butter was served.
I had the lobster menu (lobster soup, whole lobster in butter with herbs, and a raspberry panna cotta) which was delicious. It was a nice surprise when the chef came to our table and introduced us to the live canadian lobster which would be served.
My partner had the halibut in cream sauce and it was wonderful as well. The service and ambient was fantastic.
All in all, a very nice place on a quiet street. Would highly recommend this to seafood lovers.

I’ve been wanting to eat lobster for a long time, and on our way through Bruges, we decided to try it at the Lobster Pot. It was the best decision we could make! The lobster was wonderfully treated, delicious, on point… the oysters were very good and the mussels shouldn’t be missed by anyone. Everything, absolutely everything was amazing. The kindness of the chef is deeply appreciated. We will return without a doubt.

This is a very refined and elegant dining experience, with a modern flair. The menu is on wireless tablets. You can tell the owners paid attention to every detail. I had a glass of champagne before dinner, and a Sancerre with my meal. Both were exquisite. The Belgian caviar with sour cream was a treat. Excellent sliced bread with butter. My bouillabaise had a savory spicy flavor, just the thing to warm me up as I’d been fighting a cold. The garden salad was refined; the dressing exceptional. My dining partner had chateaubriand with mushroom sauce. She felt the abundance of sauce took away from the enjoyment of the beef, which was well prepared. There was a little grit in my clams & mussels. Overall, very close to the perfect dinner. So many good things on the menu, it was hard to choose. Go here!
